It just notifies Lotus that the car has been taken out of a permitted area

    First stirrings of deliveries

In the last few days, UK dealers/agents have been getting paperwork(agreements) from Lotus regarding their loan cars, which are production test cars for the likes of you and me to drive. The cars have trackers and will be geo-fenced. Anticipated deliveries are 1st-2nd week in August.

    Henry Catchpole - Carfection review

A bit of a hijacked thread this! 1) HC. IMHO he's definitely stalling or changed his mind. He's got a good relationship with Lotus so.... Logical explanations are: he's waiting for the i4 or GT4 to make it into a different piece. He's decided to wait for a full production car with both touring...

    Henry Catchpole - Carfection review

Would be good to see a preproduction i4 being reviewed. I was sure when I did the factory tour a few months back there were test cars at Hethel.

Base Model i4 - Spec, production, delivery and price

You shouldn't have been allowed to put down a deposit for the base model. Deposits were for FE cars only. Base configuration goes live (according to Lotus customer care) in September. First cars delivered approx 12 months later.

Different engine and a slip differential, but yeah. Good cars for the summer.

a car 'For the gap', inviting suggestions

Abarth 123 spider. Love mine. More fun than my (now sold) F-Type ps380. £20k buys a good example Or a remapped Fiat 123 spider, it's the same engine. £15k

    No more production after 2023

It would make more sense, but doesn't seem to imply that. Otherwise why wouldnt you say "Lotus to stop making new petrol car models from THIS year"
  9. NickR

    No more production after 2023

Article in the telegraph says petrol car production at Lotus will cease next year. So either he's got his facts wrong or its a bizarre decision from Geely https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2022/06/28/lotus-stop-making-new-petrol-car-models-next-year/

    Porsche article by Jethro B.

Looks like a fluff article about echo chamber groups. It could apply to anything from Apple to Politics.

A Lotus Cars NFT marketplace??? JFC

Haven’t heard much in the way of positive vibes regarding NFTs. If Lotus want to promote lifestyle rather than cars then go for something meaningful related to brand. High performance electric boats or something

Why don't you just use the configurator?

Anyone received their 30 day notification yet?

If they are dealer cars, then they have just got the silent treatment like the rest of us. As of yesterday .. nothing

Anyone received their 30 day notification yet?

After 7 days of customer production since first customer car on the 10th I'm surprised no one has received 'the call'. If they are producing 20 cars per day then thats 140 cars. Its not adding up so there must be something else going on. Some thoughts: Issue with finialsing the car, missing...

The V8 Ftype is also worth a look. This is what I'll be getting if I get totally p*ssed off with Lotus. Probably the new shape http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202202283017442?atmobcid=soc3

Been advised by Lotus that we will be (July deliveries) updated this week. As others have said. No sure if good or bad!

And mine ... it's in the mag not online. No issues with the setup. Same as all the others with mentioning the deliberate understeer which takes a bit of getting used to. I wonder if Lotus might do something about it

Last week I did a track day in a Ford Fiesta, followed by a Elise then formula Ford. I've also tried a track day in my F Type. I had a professional driver with me which was great as you can chat about all sorts of things whilst waiting for your next drive. One of the topics was using road...

Am I the only one who doesn’t want a Porsche…

I'm not a fan of the Porsche looks and was about to get the v8 f type when the Emira was announced. Our German friends make excellent cars whether its a Porsche or Audi, but they are a bit of a victim of their own success as there are so many of them. I think the UK has some great car designers...

I don't think you'll notice 16hp especially as the torque is the same as the 416. 430 would have been nice for the fe, we know both engine and transmission can do it. I expect a software remap could do it https://www.quantumtuning.co.uk/car-remap-tuning-remapping.aspx?make=Lotus&range=Evora Top...
