What did you do to your Emira today?

Loving the lift and haven't had an issue. I primary use for auto detailing along with simple vehicle services hanging out with buddies. I haven't noticed a scenario in which If I had a four-post lift for example, it might allow more access to area in which the scissor lift runs up. The most complicated part was installing as I wanted recessed into the floor and instructions could have been easier for my contractor.
Did you purchase through Obsessed Garage or somewhere else?

Obsessed Garage. Looking back, installing the lift on top of the floor might be better solution although you might need some ramps for particular vehicles. That would allow you to pull up and easily move. That would be more difficult for my application but is certainly doable. You will need 240v for the lift.

Yeah I've put pex in the slab for heat, so recessed is a no-go for me. Your install looks slick, but I'll keep them on top of the floor and build up a 2in of pads around them. Happy wrenching!

Went out for a New Year's Eve drive !

Now that looks to be an epic drive.
Wish that sort of thing were an option in the UK. Best we seem to be able to manage is about 60miles of decent roads, assuming traffic is not heavy
I do miss UK roads. I am lucky to be located between the Jura and French Alps, with Italy 1 hour away, so great play ground. For information in France: Speed limit + 50 km/hr = loss of car and licence. A new law for 2026 :-(

You wouldnt miss the UK roads nowadays. They either have potholes that climbers go down into to see if oil is at the bottom, or so crowded that any sort of passionate driving is impossible.
I struggle to understand the +50kmh concerns. That sort of excessive speed deserves some serious punishment.
Florida just brought in something similar for those caught doing over 100mph. The out roar from drivers was massive. And whilst 100mph at 0400 on a summers day may not be that crazy to some, doing it at 16:00 on a winters day is madness.

Is that different from before?
I understood +50kmh was license suspended but the car was only impounded if you didn’t have someone else with you to take over driving.

From the gov website
No clarification id the licensed passenger can retrieve the car
Also not sure how this will apply do drivers who do NOT have a French licence.
In the past it was just a question of €€€'s
