I feel like there should be a TSB for the the membrane issue if they are failing so fast and damaging electronics.

tweeked it a bit (240Z style) as the center flat panel now looks a bit out of place, but I would definitely not like losing my Carplay and maps!

Also got my replacement valve controller from Miltek, a v2 one to replace the v1 one that was waterlogged and shorted out. My son printed a water-proof box for the new controller. Whilst I was ordering the replacement controller my mouse finger slipped and I somehow ended up with an OPF delete pipe in the shopping basket .

I now have both fitted to my Emira and so now know that it is the valve controller makes most difference to the exhaust sound. The replacement pipe just makes the exhaust sound more crisp. Ideally I think you would want both together (assuming you are not replacing the downpipes or whole exhaust) but if you can only have one or the other then the controller is the more effective.

I got the Miltek pipe - no troubles fitting it at all, no shims or pipe expander needed.

We are now all ready for a weeks break driving round the Scottish Highlands.
