V6 cross gate cable end

Yeah the play in gear and after installing the cable ends lies in tolerances at the shifter assembly and also in the transmission bell crank/selector. Not much could be done for those aside from a new shifter assembly.
I tried contacting a couple companies that make killer shifters for various others cars I’ve had experience with before and neither seemed interested in our cars.
I’ll keep trying! Making something from scratch will a ton of R&D vs adapting an already proven one into these cars.

Just checked with them, I had pinged two other companies prior.
One did come back and say if we have a 30 unit commitment they could probably do it.

Hmm…30 units. Would you mind starting a group buy thread? I’d be happy to buy 2-5 to get it to 30 units if needed, and sell off one by one. Acuity kit would be so cool for our cars!

I'll continue the chat and see what we can work out with one of these guys.
The benefit is the shifters could be used in Evora's as well and with some alterations the Elise/Exige platform.

I was pretty sure there was a video last year of some guys documenting all the play in the stock shifter and how their unit was so much better. And then everyone just commented that it won't help the transmission shift any better because it will still be the same transmission.

There's play at multiple places obviously, but a better shifter mechanism would go a long way. For example there's lots of side to side play in the shifter before the cross-gate cable is even pushed or pulled. It's pretty much the same shifter mechanism as the Evora from the photos I've seen.
