View attachment 41712They’re here! My Seneca Blue car arrived at Lotus of Pittsburgh this morning along with my friend’s DV (parked beside it). My car was on the 4/7 boat and his on the 3/29 boat. I can’t believe I’m finally looking at them. Planning to take delivery sometime next week.

Looks great! I asked my dealer not to attach the front plate, though it’s mandatory in my state. I don’t want the bumper drilled. I’m hoping a better solution comes along in the aftermarket.

Make them sign a letter saying if they drill the bumper they owe you $5k to get their attention.

I’d happily take an American Emira, our useless free gift (since none of us got any package they e-mailed us about) appears to be the French language stickers/pamphlets thrown in when we get our car ”soon”.

I put my deposit in for the V6 auto back in Oct of 23. No news yet

Nope, they’re pretty far back in line at Calgary from what I’ve heard…unless a dealer gives them an earlier cancelled allocation.

They likely wouldn’t have got an FE so probably waiting on base.

November ‘21 deposit. August ‘23 order submitted. Was told March - April ‘24 build. Last update said late summer delivery. I‘ll be surprised if I get a car this year.

I had similar front plate issue in New York. There is apparently an under bumper mount that doesn‘t require drilling but talking around the high end sports car scene here, many people just don’t mount a front plate and tickets are apparently almost never given for it. So I’m thinking I’ll just leave it off and pay the fine if I ever get one…

During the doc signing process, I was offered a 7 year 70k extended warranty from Fidelity for $3995 with $250 deductible. They said that this has the same coverage as the lotus warranty except for all the wear and tear stuff (brakes, clutch etc). Has anyone purchased the extended warranty or has experience with Fidelity warranty? It sound like an OK deal since it is extending the original warranty by another 4 years and 34k miles. Would you guys go for this?

I typically hate up sells but on the lotus it is interesting. I might go for it if offered.

Audi R8 crowd use Fidelity a lot and tend to have good reviews.

My new Evora had probably around $4k of warranty work in the first 2 years, the major one was a wiring harness replacement. After that it’s been trouble free with the exception of wear and tear items. While I think the price is fair, my gut tells me anything big is likely to happen in the first couple of years. And after that, it’s stuff you’ll have to pay for anyway.

I just did a search on Gator in this thread and was surprised how few deliveries from this dealer have been posted here. I even created a separate thread specifically to connect with others who got their Emiras from Gator or are still waiting like me. I'm surprised by how few reports of Gator deliveries I'm seeing.

It is, but not everybody follows every thread and I was surprised there weren't more comments here or there about actual deliveries from Gator, so just double-checking and hoping to discover some additional deliveries.

There have been very few deliveries nationwide, in the big scheme of things. It's only been a few weeks of active delivery anywhere, and it takes a lot of time to do that process per-car when most dealers only have a single salesperson dedicated to Lotus customers. It's an unfortunate side effect of being a low volume marque. Unlike a Mazda or BMW dealer, they can't just hand a second car and customer off to someone else for a parallel delivery. So the bandwidth is narrow.
