Good news is , from what I have read , is that these can be turned off manually, however annoying it will be to have to do this everytime you start the car.

				New EU speed limiters will not see an end to fines
NEW EU speed limiter tools will make it "harder to break the law" but the technology will not be the end of speeding fines, according to experts.
