Small lip spoiler

Alright, so Earth MotorCars in Dallas reached out to me via phone today! Gentleman's name was Joe Cruz, super nice guy...he said they have 14x left of the carbon fiber lip spoiler (well, 13 now I guess after my order lol) that @Briggo posted pictures of, the one that is VERY similar in style to the 420 Sport rear lip that only goes on the trunk/middle portion (the 420 Sport's one looks like it took some cues).

The price is $350 shipped (+sales tax in your area, mine was $378.88 total) and it ONLY comes in the weaved carbon fiber (no fiberglass or gloss black) as in Briggo's pics above: https://www.emiraforum.com/threads/small-lip-spoiler.8394/post-212587

No group buy unfortunately but it's not really needed, at this price for a proper 420 Sport-esque cf lip spoiler...$350 is a NO-BRAINER to take a chance on. It should be pretty easy to find a shop that can sand + paint the spoiler in gloss black for those like me that prefer that over cf.

Folks interested can email parts@earthmotorcars.com directly and just say you're interested in purchasing a Lotus Emira rear lip spoiler for $350, they will know what you're talking about and reach out to you via the email or phone if you drop your phone number in the email.

They will email you an invoice with your address and info (i shared mine over the phone but you can include in an initial email) and then a separate email with a link to pay through Clover and you just check out with that link if your invoice looks good.

Thanks @Briggo for sharing this find!

Is it gloss carbon or matte carbon? Cheers mate.

@Jayce thank you very much for the information, i emailed them this morning to get a quotation from them and hopefully if all is good with that i too will avail of this offer

Gio and Joe at Earth Motors are super helpful. Mine was shipped to the UK in quick time and was well packaged. I fitted the spoiler myself and it was easy to do with care. As my Emira is ceramic coated, I used Isopropyl Alcohol on the area where the spoiler is applied to ensure best adhesion of the 3M tape. The spoiler comes with the tape applied and includes some fitting guidance. I hope this helps.

Whilst isopropyl alcohol will remove wax from a car it won't remove ceramic coating if this was your intent. So your 3M tape is affixed to your ceramic coating and not the paint of the car.

Definitely more on the matte side, it'll really have to be sanded/painted to have that really glossy shine I think (I'm going off just the pics that Briggo posted of the spoiler on his car earlier in the thread.).

They shipped it out yesterday right after I got off the phone and it'll be delivered 2 days from now, i'll take some pictures (including close ups of the cf weave) and post them here then.

Spoilers that use 3M tape are generally super light enough that proper cleaning of a PPF'd surface (with maybe some adhesion promoter) will still ensure it stays stuck on there...after a couple of weeks, PPF is pretty much impossible to come off on its own when applied properly (i'm not sure about having just ceramic with no PPF though).

That said...the surface area of the trunk portion, for anyone like me who has their entire car PPF'd + ceramic, doesn't seem like a whole lot, so adhering to anything but directly to the paint might be a huge gamble. I'm unsure what route i'll go (apply directly to cleaned/scrubbed PPF or remove PPF from trunk portion entirely, install spoiler, then reapply PPF) but i'll be talking to a couple shops in the area to get their opinions.

I've emailed twice now and have had zero replies... 😞

For you guys not getting replies... try and message joe@earthmotorcars.com

He did instruct to send inquiries to the general parts@ email address (that's where my original email got routed, it actually took them like a full week to get back to me) but he just emailed me asking to send pics after install, i replied back asking him to check their parts@ mailbox as there's a bunch of you that are trying to buy, and that people might reach out to him directly as well.

I’ll swing by tomorrow when they’re open and see if they have any that I can take pictures of

I live like 10 minutes from them if anyone wants me to stop by and ask for some more pictures.
I'm also interested in the spoiler. More pictures will be much appreciated.

I emailed and got instant reply back from Joe.

Noted thanks Geoff - I fitted the spoiler as guided, and recommended by the professional detailer who applied the ceramic coating to my Emira. It has remained secure since fitment in Feb so the process worked for me.

Sorry all I can’t make it over there. My battery is fully dead (tender and actual battery charger can’t revive it). Waiting for my sodium ion battery to arrive. Should be able to go there by Saturday (battery should arrive Friday).
