I'm wondering if this noise is unique to my car, but there's a particular sound that's been bothering me.
My car has currently covered around 900 km.
The noise sounds like a rattling or ticking sound. It's a repetitive "ch-ch-ch" or "da-da-da" kind of sound.
Interestingly, it doesn't occur when the engine is cold. Instead, it starts after I've been driving for about 10 minutes. The frequency of the rattling increases with engine RPM.
I've attached an audio recording. The sound might be difficult to hear if you're listening through a system with a subwoofer, as it's a relatively high-pitched noise.
It's actually easiest to hear when listening directly through a phone speaker. I recorded it from inside the car, from the driver's seat. The noise becomes particularly noticeable toward the end of the recording, at around the 27-second mark.
Do other Emira I4 owners experience this kind of noise as well?
I understand that the engine can be quite noisy in general, but what concerns me is the repetitive, rhythmic rattling. I'm not sure whether this is normal engine noise or a sign that something might be wrong.
I'd appreciate hearing from other owners who have experienced something similar.
