Some people have reported that certain dealers are replacing both doors even if only one is blistered. This doesn’t appear to be the norm though.

I had both of my doors replaced when I only saw blistering on one of them.

Yes, me too. I was told that Lotus instructed the dealer to replace both doors. Mine only had bubbling on passenger door. Now I've got to get the whistle at 70mph from the passenger door fixed.

I'm going through the same place you did (Silverstone), so it sounds like Lotus has tightened the policy. It sounded very much like it is no longer at the discretion of the dealer.

I bought a car that had blistering on both doors believing it to be the “sure” way to avoid the problem - maybe wishful thinking. Having said that, it’s been at the dealers since I bought it for non-starting problems. If I ever get it/accept it back, it’ll be going back in for the doors… one day I’ll drive it! 🥴

The news that nobody wanted to hear is that one of my "fixed" doors, is now showing early signs of exactly the same issue as the original door: A line of small blisters a few cm below the window line after the door mirror. Here we go again...
Oh dear, that's awful! What date did you get the doors replaced?

How much warranty have you left?

Bear in mind that for this issue, it should be 8 years... assuming they don't wriggle out of calling this "corrosion" (which I absolutely have heard it termed as for composite panels)

Anti-corrosion
Your Emira's main chassis and body panels are guaranteed against corrosion for 8 years.

The biggest beef I'd have is the hassle of having to lose my car for a month every year or so, and it never actually being resolved in a permanent fashion 😐

Critical thought says you don't replace a composite panel for an issue with paint; you'd re-spray it but I think that conversation's been done to death.

Agree with both of the above. I had paint bubbles on my tailgate from new in June but waited until the following January this year before having it replaced as I didn't want the car out of action when I most wanted to drive it.
My question on the warranty is mainly how the issue is dealt with after the initial 3 year period and whether the original 5 year paint warranty is honoured or if Lotus try to wriggle out of it. And that's not even taking into account the 8 year thing as well.
