Lightest weight track wheels

I know some Chinese manufactures have magnesium wheels for a relatively low price. But they are not widely available on the market.

Les pedí que me hicieran un juego personalizado (con las dimensiones de fábrica) según el diseño que quería, que me costó unos $3300, incluyendo el envío. Las cuatro ruedas juntas pesan 10 kg menos que las ruedas de fábrica. Sin embargo, son de 20" con especificaciones de fábrica; si pides ruedas de 19" o una configuración escalonada 18/19, serán aún más ligeras. Solo asegúrate de conseguir neumáticos de las medidas que necesitas antes de pedir las ruedas.

Las ruedas Litespeed serían aproximadamente 8 kg más ligeras que un juego equivalente de aluminio forjado de Aerie, pero costarían el triple. Depende de cuánto quieras gastar y de tus objetivos de rendimiento. Otro aspecto a considerar para un juego de pista es el costo de reemplazo de una rueda si se daña. Si vas con ruedas escalonadas, podrías tener otro juego completo de ruedas Aerie de repuesto y aún así ahorrar miles de dólares que con un solo juego de ruedas Litespeed.

No. They were inspired by one of their designs, but it's not a copy. I wanted something close to the 6 spoke Lotus Evija wheels, but I wanted a 5 spoke design. I saw a picture of a wheel on a Ferrari that turned out to be a Llagos wheel, and it was a pretty close copy of the Evija wheel. For the ones I had Aerie make, I changed the spokes, the entire outer rim edge of the wheel, and the center cap, so it's not a copy of the Llagos wheel.
 
I know this is a fairly old thread, but is anyone aware of an option that is around the same price as the JUBU wheels but in 19” or 18”?

Their competitor’s wheels are substantially lighter it seems (the Jubu wheels are 19lbs roughly if my math checks out?) whereas the other magnesium wheels (19”) linked in this thread are ~15lbs

The extra weight savings is definitely substantial but it just has me asking myself if there are better options. Been looking for a few hours
 
Not magnesium but @mr.suntorytime can sort you out with 18in wheels for significantly less than JUBU

I can order mag or 6061 t6 forged wheels. the mags are not really a huge gain IMO. Plus having to replace one will be eye watering when you bend them.

A vehicle dynamics engineer here, I've designed physic simulators which OEMs use to calculate these things and have also worked at top level motorsport. The one concept you are missing in regards to rotational dynamics and hence why everyones numbers are different is that the energy used to accelerate (rotate) a tyre is based on two things, one is the moment of inertia but the second is the rate of acceleration. So if you are already in say 4th gear when the car obviously doesn't accelerate as much then the effect of the tyre inertia will be much smaller or even negligible than compared to when you are launching in first gear. So the extra inertia might be the equivalent of 50kgs on the car in first gear but only 5kgs in 4th gear.
