JUBU spec Ohlins TTX suspension road & sport (2-way)… PURE ART

For those following along, what @F1 SML8R is referring to is that you can raise or lower your car’s height about 5mm with your OEM Bilsteins.

If you compress your springs and move the lower perch up, there are 3 indentations with a retaining circlip under that lower perch hat. You could move the circlip higher or lower to achieve the 5mm raise or lowering. Looks like it is set at +0 station coming from the factory.
(I used a 5mm spacer for reference of indentation distances)

Some tips for coilover swapping:
(Which is oversimplified in the Service Manual 🤨)

FRONTS:
1. You have to remove the wheel arch liner
2. You have to disconnect swaybar endlink
3. You have to compress spring to be able to disconnect upper coilover bolt from mounting bracket to be able to shimmy bracket and coilover out from upper and lower wishbones
(Ohlins comes with its own mounting bracket where I think other coilovers uses the OEM mounting bracket)
4. Refer to Service Manual for torque specs
5. All bolts were easy to get to using normal tools with minimal extensions needed. Cheater bars make job much simpler.
6. You will play Jenga trying to remove coilover and mounting bracket from wishbones and swear accordingly.

REARS:
1. You DO NOT need to remove wheel arch liner
2. You DO NOT need to disconnect swaybar endlink
3. You DO NOT need to disconnect coilover from mounting bracket
4. Pay attention to offset orientation of aftermarket coilover lower mounting bolt hole for correct side installation
5. See #4&5 tips for Rears listed above

Extra tip:
The wheel arch liners for some reason uses retaining screw type push fasteners which took forever to remove. Take this opportunity to convert them all to push fasteners for future wheel arch liner removals. 😉
