Is your EMIRA your only sport car?

I have a Lotus problem…

In all seriousness, I took delivery of the Emira first, and then the S4s popped up and I couldn’t resist. It fills that constant need to always have a car project going.

I have an Elise 220 Sport as well as the V6 Emira. The Elise I have had for 5 years now, and before that a 111R, so 20 years of Elise ownership. I wanted an Emira but wasn’t sure enough to do a swop so luckily I have both and I’m glad I kept the Elise. Both very different. The Elise is mainly used to enjoy local roads, and the Emira for further afield. Last year we went to Berlin in it from the UK. Choosing between them is difficult, especially as I am more used to the Elise.

Nice! I've always wanted to check one of these out. How do you like it?

I have my Evora GT and daily drive a lightly modified (stage 1+) MK7 GTI. I've tracked both and they each have their own use and driving experience. RWD supercharged mid-engine with manual 6 speed vs FWD turbocharged with dual clutch transmission. Both are an absolute blast to drive. The GTI is so versatile, economic, and inexpensive to modify and maintain where the Lotus is an exotic experience that handles like a dream and screams in the upper RPMs!

It's lightweight, it's fast, and people refer to it as the Batmobile. I love it, especially as a track weapon. I have yet to remove the windshield and put on the speed screen for a true open cockpit experience. I may end up doing that this weekend actually.

I also have a 24 Nissan Z manual performance, a 2005 Mazda RX-8 , a 2018 Golf R, and I daily a Porsche Panamera 4S.
To this day, one of my favorite cars remains my RX8 R3. Sadly, I totaled it on track, but that car was special.

I have an 84 corvette as well. Of course the Emira has great steering, but I think the old corvette’s is actually faster (fitted with z51 package which included a faster rack).
I kinda feel the same way about the steering ratio. I daily a supercharged first gen BRZ and my classic is a restomodded Jag E-type coupe with electric power steering, 8-tooth rack and small diameter steering wheel. The BRZ's feels faster and the Jag is about the same as the Emira, but neither has the same feedback. I've posted pics of them elsewhere on this forum so I won't repost them here.

As I await the arrival of my Emira, I’m very much enjoying my true GT car. A bit heavy but still an absolute joy to drive hard and the sound of the NA Ferrari derived V8 is truly one of the best sounds of any car I’ve heard.
They can sound unbelievable with an aftermarket exhaust.
A lot of car for the money!

Still waiting on delivery but will definitely be my only sports car. My DD is a Defender 110 200TDI and I have 2 motorcycles (1 for thrills: MV Agusta, and 1 for cruising; chopper). I decided a long time ago to only have vehicles that serve a specific purpose (for me). Slow vehicles can be slow, nimble has to be nimble, fun has to be max fun, etc...and they all have a super intentional design.
AH, I prefer motorcycles.
Which MV is it?

M3 definitely a sports car NOW.

Originally, IIRC, a sportscar was ONLY a 2 seater open-top car, like a Mazda/Miata MX3.
The definition has widened.

Good for you. Just need an Aston now for the total Brit hattrick! :)

I daily drive a Model S Plaid, but my Emira is alongside two other cars in the garage.

2011 R8 V10 Spyder
2022 GR Supra

The Lotus has been in the shop getting an engine & transmission replacement since December, so this is the only pic I have of all 3 of them together at the moment

I love mine, handles great and is that period of when cars were still super special, but I couldn’t afford them while in school.
Mine is the classic red with red and black interior. A great friend of mine was killed in Afghanistan in 2005, he was just six days away from coming home and had this exact car on order and never got to pick it up. In 2019 I was looking for a fun car and stumbled across this super low mile one owner example. It was the same year, colour, everything. I bought it and have treated very well ever since. I’m going to be tracking it this year, and really excited for it. I did all the 2005 period mods last year, Tein coilovers, HKS exhaust, etc. I’ve always loved rotary cars, but this one is extremely special. The only car I can say will never ever be sold for any reason.

Vivid red v6 Emira and RYP s2000. I honestly can’t say which I like more.
