New owner in Louisiana. WOW what a car!

I purchased my Emira in late April 2026, and took it to one of our local Porsche club (PCA-Chesapeake) touring events the same weekend after delivery. Within 3 weeks after I took delivery, 3 of my fellow club members purchased new ones, and a few more are interested.

I'm not surprised because the Emira appeals to the same type of person who is likely to own a Porsche sports car. With the end of 718 (Boxster/Cayman) production, Porsche no longer has sports car in the Emira price bracket.

You're not Joe from LvDragon are you?

So a month ago I didn’t even know the Emira even existed. I was in Houston 4 weeeks ago and one pulled into a gas station i was at. I was literally blown away!!! I went over and chatted with the owner of the car and she said she cant go anywhere without someone asking about the car. Ive been a loyal Porsche guy for nearly 20 years but damn this car was something. I immediately did my research and was floored the car wasn’t 200k. Two weeks ago i was in Miami and went for the test drive and it was then decided after 2 minutes. I drove the auto and manuel but opted for the auto bc I have a 911 992.1 with a Manuel trans and really liked how the auto drove. I saw all the colors in Miami and it was down to verdant green, royal blue (i forget the name), or classic red but verdant green was really pulling at me even though i wish it was a little less dark. I started calling dealerships near me in lo and behold I found a verdict Green automatic did he come in the day before. Someone had done a build, but had changed their mind because of the long wait. After he sent me the spec sheet,. It was nearly exactly what I would’ve done myself. I jumped all over it and went and picked it up this past Monday. To say I’ve been blown away is an understatement now I’m just working on that thousand mile break-in so I can really have some fun. I look forward to contributing to the forum and learning more about these amazing vehicles were so fortunate to own. Sorry for the long intro….. Rick
Congrats on the new toy. I am in the Lake Tahoe area, but kidnapped my wife from Louisiana who is from New Orleans. I lived in Mandeville many years ago. 911’s are on my bucket list. You have good taste in cars.
