There is a built in drain in the airboxes as well as the inlet area. So there is no more risk than with a stock intake box.

I was under the impression that the white polyester “filter” was there to prevent water reaching the paper filter. With Greg’s or others, this could be an issue if not reinstalled, as water will definitely enter the duct.

The Eventuri angles downward towards the drain hole when it's installed which you can see in the inside bottom of this picture, so any water that might enter drains before it can go up into the filter.

You aren't gonna hydrolock your engine unless you drive through 3 feet of water. A tiny mist of water doesn't hurt anything.

The filters are oiled so water cant get past them.
In all the years of the same sort of intakes fitted on Evora's Ive never once seen any sort of water issue.

The two cold air kits available for these cars both have oiled filters.

Just to offer a slight correction, the above description text for the Eventuri filter is actually taken from your site's product listing, and in the listing for the full Eventuri kit, it also says the filter is dry. I think they manufacture both types but for the Emira specifically they use the dry type. The confusion lies in the fact that a bottle of oil is included in their filter cleaning kit.

Ahh sorry, I am getting different kits and filters mixed up.
The Eventuri kit does use a dry filter -- (The cleaning kits include oil which isnt used)

Regardless there isnt a worry about water getting into the engine unless you drive into a lake.

Interesting that the Eventuri claimed 15hp dos not prove true, especially given the cost of that intake. I was contemplating one until I read this thread.

It's possible that switching intakes back-to-back-to-back like they did for their test may not have given the ECU time to adjust. Here's the results I got when I installed an Eventuri, driving the car for over 100 miles with it installed before going to the dyno. There are documented results similar to mine on Corvette, BMW, etc. forums after installing an Eventuri intake. I don't doubt GRP's results were genuine, just that the ECU may have compensated for the sudden changes since it only saw them once. The gain you see for mine has been consistent over the span of one year as I've done many dyno runs afterwards for other mods.

I like the design and composition of the filter element of the Eventuri more than the foam filter in the GRP kit.

There's a video of the GRP intake installation in this thread, so figured I'd contribute to the thread with my install video of the Eventuri this time. I ordered it from Greg at GRP and installed it today. Hope this helps those looking at the Eventuri. Cheers.
