Free Lowering with factory setting VS. GRP lowering kit

Circlip position will be the same but spring rate for tour is lower. We have done that and compared to sport.
Interesting. Any idea how much the move from top clip position to bottom translates to gap drop to the tire? 1/4 inch...1/2 inch... 3/4 inch?

Thank you for that... but can you explain this in layman terms.. I am NOT mechanically handy and have no idea what this means. :)

Thanks

Mine has sport spring at the lowest circlip position while my friend's tour also at the lowest position, his sits lower than mine, something like 1/4 to 1/2 inches.

Should be 12mm per groove
I don’t think it’s as much as that. If I’m not mistaken there is 10mm between the highest and lowest slots. 10mm on the shock might mean a bit more than 10mm lowering of the car, but I don’t think it’s much more than that. The drop is noticeable, but still pretty subtle.

On my car I’d estimate about 12mm or 1/2 inch. Sport I4, going from highest to lowest slot on the shock.

you are right, sorry, it should be about 6mm per groove, my bad.

After a lot of research and comparison between moving OEM settings, Lowering Springs, Lowering Kits, and Third Party Coliovers, I have decided the best option for me is to go with the new Nitron solution for the I4. Many ways to go but ultimately, I am a not confident in my ability to keep wrenching on my car to dial it in correctly. A purpose built suspension system makes the most sense for me. If I was more mechanically inclined or had my own lift... I may have chosen a less expensive route but hoping the Nitron solution will give me the stance I am looking for with all of the comfort needed in a daily driver. Just for reference, roads here in NC are pretty good and I don' t plan on tracking my car. I will report back my experience once they are installed and I have some evaluation miles on the new system

I love everything about my Emira except it sits a little too high for my taste and the suspension is a little bit too jumpy for street use in my case. So for those who are not aware, our blistein shocks come with 3 ride height settings. Mine is a sport suspension which sits at the highest, by moving to the lowest, will give me 10mm lowering.

This is how it looks like with 10mm lowering, which I think it looks much better!

But still I am hoping to just lower slightly more to give that very aggressive look so I ordered the GRP lowering kit. It is able to give me that extra 5mm I am hoping for, and it does the job. Quality is good and very easy to install. Now I am sitting 15mm lowering than stock and I am happy with it. Ride quality is not big of a difference but since the spring rate has been decreased, the ride is a little softer which is perfect for me for street driving, a nice surprise with a smoother ride.

With a 12mm spacer now its perfect, however I wont recommended it if you do track a lot, as cornering is a little soft comparing to the stock setup.

I think this is the best looking Emira I have ever seen...
