Maybe the part just can’t handle the additional weight of the car

There is no material difference in weight between the Evora and Emira. The Evora 400 was just over 3200 lbs and the Evora GT with carbon roof, seats and other weight saving bits shaved 100 lbs from that figure.

A broken driveshaft could just be a coincidence—Stephen’s driveshaft snapped on a stock car. I wouldn’t be panicking about the shaft right now.

Which axle broke on your car? LH or RH? The one on Corey's was LH but I didn't want to make assumptions about yours.
