Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

I'm very interested to hear feedback once people get these installed. Particularly the experience on different fuels.

I think there's a crowd of people waiting for feedback . I wouldn't be surprised if everything's as advertised, there'll be a second wave of orders that'll overwhelm Burger again.

I will be part of that crowd

looking at the install instructions makes me grateful that I have the V6. The I4 install looks to be a bit of a PITA.

I'm a bit intimated at the obd cable run and drilling the firewall on the v6
Yep. Same here. Does anyone know if this part is needed to be connected for the tune to operate. Or can you run the tune with this step and manipulate the device via the app.

Instruction says not required.
Routing the OBDII is not required to achieve the advertised power gains, but it will provide smoother performance and more features

The obd cable routed inside the car is not required for the unit to properly operate wireless with the phone app.

But they now tell into the instructions that this cable will make the JB4 run smoother with it than without…?

What the hell does that mean?

I am not a tuner but my guess is that the kit is working/tuning the engine with only 2 🔌 plugs connectors for our V6 , the maf + tmap. I am pretty sure there is a lot more parameters usually used to tune an engine. While it may work it seem a bit basic to me.

When the OBD cable is plugged the Jb4 must be able to collect more deep informations about what is going on and can probably better tune accordingly.

Yes. I`ve checked this, and it seems that the same 2 plug connectors are the only ones used in most of the cars they tuned. They seem to know what they are doing, according to their past record, so I guess what seems basic may be enogh.

I'm wondering how they're routing the cable from the TMAP to the MAF that the instructions show just hanging across the engine for the V6. Also this is obviously tuned for the factory airbox. I would like to know if the Eventuri airbox would require a custom tune map, since it's airflow and IAT is different from the stock airbox, or is this something their unit is able to adjust to the same way the factory ECU can.
