Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

Maybe I missed it, but is there a more concrete plan for when these will be shipping out?

It will not heat soak for short street pull or 1/4 - 1/2 mile drag race but for tracking it is another story. Heat soak and durability could become a problem over time if tracked.

I think it's fair to say that the answer to this question would require testing that hasn't yet been performed.

The intercooler was engineered with some boost limits in mind but we don't know the margin that has been built into the design. We aren't massively increasing boost here and there have been factory tunes to 430 hp with this motor so odds are in our favor. If you find that 0-60 times begin to increase after a series of runs, the platform would benefit from a larger or more efficient intercooler but no one knows that at this stage.

I look at the Emira GT4 platform for inspiration as to what would be race worthy and that car includes a motor with forged pistons, stronger rods and a larger Harrop supercharger capable of delivering higher boost. Time will tell about the durability of the factory platform with a JB4 tune in place but the 91 octane tune isn't far from what the factory delivered in the Evora 430.

Nice, i should have waited a few more weeks as I have the TDI unit. This Jp4 looks better. As far as installation its a pian in the ass with the Turbo. I uploaded the install on another thread which should be the same as for the JP4. That one boost sensor is a bitch that's just above the AC compressor. As to performance, the Turbo US or SE will always be faster than the v6. The DCT alone is a HUGE advantage. I've driven a 6 speed Elise for 20+ years and I ain't missing it at all. The DCT is so much faster and more modern. I am quite enjoying it. The video showing a race between the two models is shocking
