Removing factory seat and installing Tillet B10-tips and tricks

Thanks for that. I can’t wait to see what these seats look like with the tan leather interior.
I recently had a customer kindly send me pictures of the Tan seats installed.

I just installed my seat in today and decided to do some weigh ins.

Tillett B10 * Tillett rails - Seat pads are EVA foam and upholstered from a local shop = 23 lbs

Can't wait until GRP can figure out a solution for the passenger side!
The seat pads look really good. Replacing just the driver seat doesn't look like it's out of place. How much does this cost?

Thank you! I'm pleased with how it turned out, especially being ignorant to upholstery/leather work.

I bought EVA foam for the seat pads and sourced leather that was 8/10 match for ice white.

I cut, shaped, and heat molded the EVA to the desired shape then took it, along with the leather materials to a local upholstery shop to upholster the leather.

Upholstery shop charged me $400.

@jp129 Given you only did the driver's seat and assuming you got the GRP sensor over-ride harness, is it safe to say you have ZERO warning lights/errors related to the driver seat swap?

Can you perhaps take a picture from the front screen? Im curious to see how much higher the tillet seats headreat is compared to the stock one. And is the tillet installer on the lowest points? Thanks

Looks great, very tempted to order some.

Unfortunate to say the least that Lotus still haven't responded to the widespread criticism of the original seats from both owners and journalists. If a decent set of lightweight buckets were an option I bet the majority of Emiras would be ordered with them.

We would be happy to work with them to manufacture a Lotus product. We have approached them about it. I just think the car companies struggle with all the regulations now. So they go for a set formula that already exists.

I have it installed in the highest position and it was identical to my previous driving position. I'm 5'6" with a shorter torso, 30" inseam.

If anyone is on the fence about these seats, I seriously urge you to try them if your body type allows. It has really transformed my engagement with the car.

1) I actually fit in the seat and it gives me all the necessary support, statically and while driving.
2) I no longer have to fight with the side bolster when using the shifter
3) I can actually use the arm rest without fighting the bolster
4) The car is so much more communicative and direct, without being uncomfortable or "noisy"
5) It's actually more comfortable for me as I was getting lower back pains after about 30-45mins of highway driving. I did an hr drive yday in them and was pain free.

Downsides
You can no longer plop into the seats while getting in.
