I ran a JB4 in my P Car for 40K miles without issue.

Hi Greg,
As mentioned in an earlier post here, presumably installation instructions will be provided along with the recommended mounting location for the tuner module in the engine bay. When surfing the net, I came across a couple of aftermarket mounts for the JB4 customized for the Supra and the WRX. Is there a plan to offer a such a mount for the Emira? Will one be even needed, or will zip ties do the trick?

I think between @kitkat and @mr.suntorytime they will have a clever mount setup. We could make a nice powder coating aluminum mount as well.
Initially you can use zip ties or the heavy duty scotch lok velcro to mount it though.

Will the JB4 be able to control/give you control of the Emira’s exhaust valve like it does in other applications?

As far as I know it will not be able to do anything with the exhaust valve.

One of my biggest concerns being an early adopter is a quickly upgraded model making this one obsolete. For example, I bought the short shifter that Greg initially offered. Before I even had a chance to install it people started noting issues with it and shifting problems. He replaced it with a different model that apparently fixes the problem. I have now got a short shifter that I never installed because I don't want to put a defective part in my car instead of the version that works.

I hope this isn't going to be one of those cases where a new model with upgraded features or better safety parameters is released in a few months leaving original buyers who took a chance out to dry

The initial short shifter was a product from Forge, not one that we made.
We ran the forge one in our own car and while it worked it could have been better, so thats why we developed our own and replaced the forge offering with it.
If yours is new I would suggest selling to a local GR Corolla owner as thats what those kits were originally designed for.

Yeah we got the community covered. I already have a bracket in testing phase and should be ready to go by end of next week.

i just did fill up with some 101 octane in west la. $14 a gal... mixed 3gal to 10gal 91.

would like to not spend that much on gas. might have to drive out of my way to secure the 100@9/g

i ran it a little today. need to try it on a freeway or highway as the street gets super dicey in a nice day like today. lots of street walking.
