Remember when ship spotting (for Emira cargo) and dock scoping was a thing?Washed and went for a spin to dry off. At the wharf, encountered a pack of mean looking Subarus, quickly made a U-turn, snapped a photo, and left

When the first Emira’s were making the rounds, I had the opportunity to test drive a yellow one.Learning to tame the car's understeer/oversteer. This car has a very hard time breaking grip unless you're at speed. But once you're there, it wants to rotate quickly. Still trying to figure it out.

Nice area, lovely road, great colourWent on a roadtrip yesterday and ended up on a road that is way too narrow. The Devil's staircase in Wales. It was a great adventure though!

So true. I love the silver on my Nimbus, but don't wash it very much. Between the bugs and dust, it gets rough after a few drives. I wish I'd gone black to just to cover my sins. I just touched it with a wet rag to see how bad it was.
Pretty bad.

Love the colorLast fall I powder coated my wheels to a darker charcoal-ish color that I've used before on other cars. I always laugh because I call the color "brake dust".
This morning I was adjusting pressure before a drive and thought about how clean they "look". Here is essentially the same picture of the front wheel with about 300 miles of back roads. I used a wet rag in the same place to wipe off the dust.

Really no comparison.

Yeah, over the years my interest in keeping a car perfectly clean has waned. Nimbus with the new wheel color is a match made in dirty car heaven!Nice rims.
I get about the same hue by leaving brake and road dust on my gloss black ones. Yet, yours are great.
Nice save there. Btw, I think you are describing pretty much every mid-engine car. Setup for grip, a little more difficult to control oversteer vs. front engine, rear wheel drive where the oversteer is easier to induce and also control.Learning to tame the car's understeer/oversteer. Perfect candidate to answer this: how do they compare?I love my Silver wheels but they do require frequent cleaning. This morning was cool and cloudy so give the V6 a wash and cleaned the wheels.View attachment 63223View attachment 63225View attachment 63224
Between the i4 and the V6? I have an impression thread here or do you want something specific?Perfect candidate to answer this: how do they compare?
They must be dynamically different. Same plan, different execution?
What do you use to clean them? I have so far just used a neat citrus wash, which does OK, but wondered if there is something better.I love my Silver wheels but they do require frequent cleaning. I'm lazy, so anything that can be sprayed on and sprayed off is a plus![]()
