Video*** Turbo Emira Valvetronics Titanium Exhaust, Downpipe & JB4 Map 3

I just had an aerie downpipe, aerie full titanium exhaust v2 installed along with the jb4 map 3. I have an engine code and my car is throwing down half the power according to the monitor on the car. It feels really slow... Idk what to do ; ;

I've currently gone full-blown coward and just using jb4 map2. I believe most of these bolt ons are a gamble, and with gambling sometimes you win, sometimes not so much. If you have even an inkling of getting your car serviced through lotus, be prepared for the phone call about your aftermarket equipment. My car was in for rattle and they spotted the jb4 in the engine bay. I have a good relationship with them but they did state they could walk away from any warranty work with that in place.

I believe I'll wait for a proper ecu/tcm tune once off warranty. Jb4 standalone gets me 70% there.

haha yeah no

they cannot void the entire warranty solely because an unrelated part was modified
Will very much depend on each countries consumer protection laws
Granted a JB4 modification wont cause issues claiming for a suspension fix, but in the UK, it would cause significant issues claiming for anything engine related

Well, that's the text book response and theoretically, I agree with you. That said, my rattle was a high profile fix. What I mean by that is Hethel, my dealership and least 2 other dealerships domestically were on the call. Once they take apart the front end, headlights, etc, there is cann bus communication that can be lost. My JB4 threw a CEL while they were test driving that reduced acceleration significantly. So, if my dealership were to notify corporate of the situation, they could have put a STOP to all warranty work pending investigation. Now, I can scream up and down and state "hey, I have no powertrain issues, I'm good with having a tuner in my car". They could have responded ok, we understand, we will get back to you (meanwhile my car apart on there garage floor) while I search for an attorney that specializes in these cases at 350/hr.

Im not against tuning a car (remember, I have a JB4), just know that if aftermarket exhausts are throwing codes, not clearing, etc you can be held accountable. This is my direct experience recently and my own opinion. FYI: US car

Thats odd, so you have a cat downpipe? What is the code

People you really should be pulling the Jb4 out of the car before bringing it in for warranty work

My understanding is that is not good to do and messes with the data
It's fine as long as you get a quality one. Before my ecu was flashed, I was running JB4 along with an obd control valve controller with the splitter and no problem at all.
