Hi everyone,
I'm looking to buy an Emira and am torn between the original 360 bhp i4 First Edition auto and the newer 400 bhp Turbo SE auto.
I've searched forums, YouTube and reviews but can't find much comparing these two automatic versions directly.
I know the obvious differences in power and acceleration, but I'm more interested in whether the 400 is a genuinely improved car.
A few questions:
In the UK, there's roughly a £10k–£13k difference between the cars I'm considering.
I'm happy to pay the premium if the 400 is noticeably better overall, but if it's mainly extra horsepower and cosmetic changes, the 360 First Edition seems excellent value.
I'm specifically interested in the four-cylinder automatic versions, not the V6.
Any firsthand feedback would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

A few questions:
- DCT gearbox: Is the 400 noticeably smoother, quicker or more responsive? Can the 360 receive the same software updates?
- Performance: Does the extra 40 bhp make a noticeable difference in everyday driving?
- Other improvements: Any changes to suspension, handling, exhaust sound or overall refinement?
- Build quality: Has Lotus addressed issues such as bubbling door paint, infotainment glitches, touchscreen responsiveness and audio quality?
- Owner experience: Has anyone driven both or upgraded from the 360 to the 400? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
