VF Tuner - Upgraded Supercharger Lid

You should definitely have that shipped ASAP to get it done while your mechanic has easy access now. Probably save you some $$$ for sure. JUBU is back in the office tomorrow morning. That's when my journey with JUBU begins..

My thoughts, completely guessing, but I think they will be somewhat cumulative because they are two completely different approaches to cooling and they should work together to some degree.

I am hoping that @VF Tuner brings a kick ass design option that works for me cause I am sensitive to design aesthetic.
Perhaps. The alternative is to wait and install whatever lotus has done to improve cooler, so that lotus can’t blame me later bc they are lotus parts…

Results are here on our emira Supercharger lid, and we are pretty happy with the gains.

Note - the best results are going to pair with a tune or JB4 (tested stock vs lid, and JB4 with/without lid).

First, the lids are extremely high quality and look amazing on the car!

down to the results.
on STOCK vehicle (no modifications at all) the Supercharger lid produces modest low-end torque increases while higher end RPM remains similar to stock.

Stock vs lid (no tuning, no modifications) - results were negligible. Small here and there gains, but overall near the limiter horsepower remained constant at around 385whp.

Where better gains came in was when it was paired with the JB4.
Lower RPM gains of about 10-15 horsepower was noticed with peak gains of 10-12+whp.
this is bone stock car with JB4 and lid.

From this data we can conclude that the lid really starts to shine when the supercharger is pushed harder, and in stock form with stock low boost an upgraded lid isn't necessary.
The owner of the car did also notice a 1.5psi increase after JB4+lid.

overall we are very happy with these results, as this is around 20+BHP gain on a stock pulley with just a piggyback tuner. When the Emiras start diving into *exhaust mods*, *smaller pulleys* and more, we think the lid is going to really shine even further.

With that, we will be offering a Group-buy purchase for folks who have a JB4 and want to maximize their gains with it, if there is interest.
The price will be less than initial quotes.
For a simple bolt on mod (I hope) this seems to be a very nice result. I’m running the JB4 Map 2 with 3rd cat delete, Milltek exhaust, and valve controller. I’m thinking I would at the upper end of range for hp gains.

we can't use the LOTUS name though.
The same applies to "EMIRA"? Replacing the "LOTUS" with "EMIRA V6" will keep the OEM look. Even better if the anodized layer is machined off and a clear coat applied...

The word EMIRA we can use, since "emira" is not a brand.

We can do multiple colors so that is no problem.
However machining multiple different top wording/styles will add significant cost.

So, ideally I'd like to offer 3 different designs, and then the community can vote on the most popular.

I will confirm with the tester but I believe it was "map 1" test.

I need to look into the JUBU cooling kit to see what it does/replace.

Id be interested in a group buy if prices right

If one design is "EMIRA V6" in silver (clear showing the base aluminum) with everything else in the base color (dark grey is my choice), that would get my vote.

The OEM look: "EMIRA V6" instead of "LOTUS" in silver, "VF" instead of "V6" in base color.

I agree 100% on this design EMIRA V6 in metal, VF in black.

This is the way. And use the correct font. From a graphic designer standpoint, the current font used on the red lid looks childish/cheap.

I think it would be helpful if you can clearly post the 4 dynos as non-phone photos. Were all 4 runs done the same day? AIT and humidity will play a role in these results given the differences in air density. Would be interesting if you can overlap MAP as well.

1 vs 2 (oem vs VF lid)
3 vs 4 (Tuned Piggy back with oem lid vs tuned piggyback with VF lid)

If you were only testing on map1 (91 octane) then you’re probably selling yourself (and the lid) short.

Map 2 is 93 octane but also considerably more power.

The lid may have even more upside than it seems.
