UK deposit to order checkout to delivery process

Has anyone had a home delivery cancelled yet!!??? Received a call at 16:30 today from customer service to say they are dreadfully sorry but my car that was due for delivery tomorrow will not be happening. I chased them earlier this afternoon as I've heard nothing and was told that I will get a call in the morning with an arrival time. Anyone else had similar issues? :mad::mad:

And just to top it off I was promised a call back this afternoon to confirm what's happening, and they've all gone home!! So I have no clue if my car is turning up tomorrow or not!!!

I had a text off the delivery driver the evening before delivery with his expected time of arrival if that’s any help

My car has had a visit to my service centre for them to assess issues with my car.
For all - be very careful on home delivery; I had ceramic coating applied prior to delivery and in a couple of places its bloomed and rough, like an overspray - not impressed. Next problem on the transporter they strapped it down so hard that it pushed the driver side black cill up so much that when the idiot opened the drivers door it took off the paint (cill now needs repainting). Rear boot lid is so badly aligned in all directions it would not shut and gaps all over the place? Then the carpet issue in the corners, passenger side is dreadful so bad they they think it all needs to be replace completely. Three showroom cars next to me are perfect??

On the bright side it could have been worse: a card through the letterbox saying sorry we missed you and they've left it with your neighbour!

I've only heard of one other case of home delivery being cancelled the day before and it got re-scheduled the next day to the following week.

I've only heard of one other case of home delivery being cancelled the day before and it got re-scheduled the next day to the following week.

They cant tell me if its a car issue or a delivery issue!!! They are sending a hire car out to me whilst they try and sort it out!! Couldn't make this sh*t up!

A lotus admin error apparently!! They had it down as a factory collection rather than home delivery. Absolute shambles, however in fairness they have been very helpful once they realised their error. Hire car for me for the next couple of weeks!!

How long between this and the final checkout email, on average, are we seeing? I need to sell my car, so trying to time it. I'm June checkout and July delivery. Feels early to be getting this email...

How long between this and the final checkout email, on average, are we seeing? I need to sell my car, so trying to time it. I'm June checkout and July delivery. Feels early to be getting this email...
Also got the same email today and have the same questions!

Looking back through this thread you will also find some people's prior experience of timings. It's been quite variable and I wouldn't extrapolate too much from past timings but it will give rough ideas.

Sorry if this is known by everyone apart from me!... I have just got a confirm your configuration email for my i4 order. It says that checkout happens once the car is built. Am I correct in thinking that the deal is not final until I do the checkout? So I could cancel up to that point if I have a change of heart? I certainly want to test drive an i4 before committing as well.
