The 13 Emira Colors

Thanks everyone for such a great supportive forum!
I have learnt so much over the past few months so I wanted to finally give back a little.

I know everyone is really keen to know what 13 colors will be available after the First Edition! I know I was.

Well it looks like they included them within the public configurator setting files. It literally took 2 minutes to find in a web browser for those that are tech literate.

Here goes:

First Edition - 6 colors:

Color Name	Paint Type
Seneca Blue	Metallic
Magma Red	Metallic
Shadow Grey	Metallic
Nimbus Grey	Metallic
Dark Verdent	Metallic
Hethel Yellow	Solid

Interestingly the additional colors are marked as V6 FE colors, but that can't be as we would have been told that they are available by now.

Base Edition additional 7 colors:

Color Name	Paint Type
Meridian Blue	Metallic	New color?
Atlantis Blue	Pearlescent	Existing Lotus color Basically the blue version of Dark Verdent
Cosmos Black	Metallic	Should be a nice deep black with silver speckle?
Osmium Silver	Metallic	This could be a silvery aqua blue! Real Osmium Metal
Vivid Red	Solid	Bright red seen at Hethel?
Zinc Grey	Solid	The gray Emiras recently seen at Hethel? Probably like nardo gray or a little bit like crayon? I call it undercoat gray.
Aspen White	Pearlescent	Existing Lotus color

Also for the interior, looking at the settings file it seems that there will be a black leather with yellow stripe and black leather with red stripe option. I think you can see the yellow stripe on black leather on a head rest in the configurator videos if you look very closely. 😀

I bet this puts a rabbit in the hat for some of us! However the FE colors are really beautiful so you can't go wrong.

By the way also noticed that when selecting "mist white" on the configurator in the "studio" environment, the trim now appears in carbon fiber. Clue to a future cost option?

In that case why not just be consistent in the latest email about the colours? 🙄 Looks like they’ve dropped it from the one place it may have been before now too…..

Lotus Australia - still calling it Base Emira and still saying arriving Q4 2023 (see attached image)- Which I cannot see that delivery as correct. The new colours I confirm are live on Lotus-AU.

I have a contract and deposit for a Base Emira since about 1 year ago, though have been told by the dealer they may not deliver that model for a long time given the backlogs (into 2025, or even at all - and the price was "not locked in"). I have been offered and I have reserved a pre-set specced Nimbus Grey (they say delivery to Australia in Aug/Sept 2023). The spec on offer was one of 4 new availabe stock in my city (i assume canceled from elsewhere that is RHD), the Nimbus set-up just so happened to be identical to one of my short list specs... though now I'm looking at these colour options and second guessing myself! ... I think I sitll like the Nimbus / Tan / Yellow Caliper combo

Good pick up! I would certainly expect that at some point the gloss black bits will be carbon fibre in future models and/or as cost options.

I wonder what happened to Aspen White? Maybe they couldn't reliably (or cost effectiely) paint a pearl (too many coats required?) and therefore changed over to a metallic white?

Mist white looks like whipped cream!

Email from Lotus to UK deposit holders says new colours available for cars built from Aug 2023, so it will depend on your deposit date and build slot.

I am in first group of i4 that have yet to be updated from July build / august delivery (however I stopped believing in Santa, so wont be sweeping the garage 1st August). Be interesting how that message changes with slippage, or whether 01/08/23 is the date they update the paint department

I wonder what happened to Aspen White? Maybe they couldn't reliably (or cost effectiely) paint a pearl (too many coats required?) and therefore changed over to a metallic white?

Mist white looks like whipped cream!

In fairness, the configurator is a bit variable in its accuracy so I’ll reserve judgement until I see it in person.

No, I like it a lot as well. If white gets too white it starts to look like a Ford Panel van to me. So I don't mind a little bit of color to my white.

I like mist white. If it was FE I would have chosen it.

Pearl white is still coming it’s in the configurator comments.

Oddly Jupiter is not even remotely close to the color purple.
I would like a retirement job where I get to name colors. How about Grimace Purple?

Pearl white is still coming it’s in the configurator comments.

There's a bit of leg-pulling going on... looked in the page source myself, and there is nothing of the sort. I'd say it's been manually added via the built in browser dev tools for the purposes of taking a screenshot to wind everyone up. Mission accomplished

As exciting as it is to have a new Configuration development to chew on, as before the proof-in-the-pudding will be Dealer color disc samples. Screen pixel accuracy remains a challenge across different devices.

True. I'm looking forward to seeing samples in person whenever they become available. I was on the fence about Seneca for months until I finally held the sample and was sold right away with 100% certainty (well maybe 99%... I'm always indecisive and this 2 year wait has been a rollercoaster 😂).

I'm just glad that for my own personal preferences there are now more colors that I think the red interior work with. I've wanted the red interior from the jump, and I don't think I'm brave enough to go Seneca and Red.
