Popping noise near subwoofer

Curious about the SW update as well. I felt that noise was more of a flap opening then something with the sub, but I'm ignorant to the systems on this car.

From what's been posted here so far, there may be different experiences of noises coming from different sources. The one I experienced sporadically, was a sometimes a lower and others louder poping sound when I opened the driver side door, and it seems to emanate from the OEM subwoofer. I associated that noise with some kind of amplified sound system awakening signal. Interestingly, since I installed my Kicker Subwoofer and disconnected the OEM sub, I have yet to hear that popping sound again. It may be too early to celebrate, as the Kicker was installed only a couple of weeks ago, but admitedly does look promising.

Went to the dealer today, seems they are aware of the problem and mentioned a software update may (eventually) fix it, though not sure if it's yet available.

Mind sharing where you installed the kicker sub? Pics? Did you add an amp? Anything else you did on the audio side?

So 9 months in with my car and this just started happening this month. Anyone aware of a Lotus fix yet or would I be wasting my time bringing it to the dealership?

Same situation. No resolution known. Dealer mentioned it was a quirk also associated with the Evora. I welcome a solution but its not taking away any overall delight with my car.

This popping subwoofer sound is pure "if I ignore the problem, there is no problem" mentality.

We kinda need to accept that the popping might happens when you open a door, and if a guest hears it and talks about it, it is legally required to gaslight them into thinking its there own imagination and nothing actually happened.

Actually It's 'the sound of a champagne cork popping' as the car rewards you for a recent well-executed driving manuever. Spread the word.
