Paint Blistering - US Based Cars?

Quick question for US owners. In the US, do most garages have air conditioning - so like the rest of the house they are kept at a near constant temperature?

I have never lived in a house in the US where the garage was under direct climate control. They are usually outside the heating/cooling envelope of the main house and subject to temperature changes based on outside conditions. That's not to say there are zero houses with climate controlled garages, but I would say the percentage that are is pretty low.

No ac in my garage. It’s been 98-103 F here in southern ca for last 2.5 weeks. Thought the heat caused blistering. Was so relieved it was simply sap

Unusual for A/C in US garages. Here in SW Florida, my garage temps ~90-95 F. Emira 2yrs old, no bubbles…………………….

79 in my splitter in my air conditioned Florida garage. No bubbles yet after 10mmonthd. Only wash it with eco based products…no hoses.

This is very interesting. In a very old poll here with 260+ responses. The number was 8% for cars built after October 2023. The number for cars built before that date was over 20%.

This newer poll is currently showing 8% for US cars, and US deliveries did not start until the 2024 MY in March 2024. The matching 8% percentage in 2 different polls suggests that Lotus did something beginning in late 2023 production to address the problem, and whatever they did was effective, if not totally eliminating the problem.

Although older cars have had more time for the composite to fail and the issue appear. As you know Lotus do not manufacture the panels so it is unlikely that they have done anything.

Well congrats to me....my first paint bubble on passenger door. Was regretting this day but must be dealt with....2024
