Official launch today of the newly refurbished showroom.

B&C’s Nimbus demo Emira is here for the weekend (back to factory for some fettling on Monday). Lots of deposit holders popping in - nice to meet you all.

Also an Eletre show car and several other interesting Lotus cars.

Were there official invites to this event? I've opted for home delivery but servicing to be done at B&C (info given to Lotus CS when they called a few months ago), so would have thought I'd be on their 'list'. Long time B&C customer too.........

They sent invitations out but not sure who to. It’s on until 3pm and no one is checking tickets or names against a list, so drop in if you’re around.

We got there early and tried the stereo via wireless apple carplay… sounded great with decent bass… so to end the speculation… the kef system sounds great 👍

We were allowed to open the doors to look at the interior but not able to sit in it. The interior materials look great and there are some nice details. I just can’t get past how huge the car is and the fairly small boot.

I did tell them I was Matt Windle's brother in law though.

I have three kids. 15 4 and 3. 4yr old has a blue badge because he cant walk yet so we still need a push chair (wheelchair still not arrived).
We have tried all sorts of SUV rubbish and they are all too small....by miles. Sod all boot space. Just enough for a M&S food shop (ie you run out of cash before all the space is used up).
Only solution is an 8 seater Toyota Verso minibus with the back two or full row taken out.
Then there's loads of room and it drives lovely

SUV = crap as a saloon just sat higher up.

Looks great in the flesh… lowering springs for me to complete the look as and when they come available as not close to what was originally shown

I tried pretty much every car when needing boot space for my dads wheelchair, ended up buying a Dacia Duster . Wheelchair fitted easily and at £15k new on the road it was a steal. Very few SUV have any boot space unless you go really large ( and expensive)
