I'm not sure if any of you will ever need this, but if you need measurements for making custom wheels and minimizing clearance from the spokes to the caliper anywhere you're going to need measurements.

997 GT3 Brake Ducts

Idk how well this works but they’re cheap and I saw this on @owenxguo ‘s car on IG.

I’m still working out what parts need to be modified, a couple of tabs, drill some holes, and a bit of a trim for the tie rods, and some vinyl coated metal zip ties and this should be good to go.

Will these be available to personally 3d print

Does your car ever get the chance to be 100% complete, or are you always tinkering? :D

No these are actually Porsche 991 (997) GT3 parts. They’re cheap though, $30-$50 for both depending where you shop from. I actually ended up buying three pairs.

Interesting adaptation @kitkat and likely to be functional, but I'm curious about one aspect... isn't that control arm to which you attached the brake ducts movable upward and downward? Do you think there's enough spacing to allow for such movement?

I cycled through the suspension stroke to the degree I could with the suspension still in place and it seems to clear fine. What doesn’t clear is contact with the tie rod it just gently rubs, I will run it for a week and then dismount, see where the rub points are and trim.

I’ll provide a DIY trim guide later on, I also plan on attaching this with metal zip ties instead of nylon ones.

I love this topic of Kitkats. I blocked his posts when he pissed me of, but now unblocked him. That`s the problem of my Croatian background. I tend to go scorched earth and then ethnically cleans everything around me. Eventually I get my crap together and put things back into perspective. Sorry mate. :)

This is gonna be a thing soon hopefully with Suntory's help -- 18" track wheels are a go!

Looking to use 18s myself for a better selection of slicks. Please start a separate thread so we know how to get things done to accept 18 inch wheels and what offsets and widest we can go with the best slicks option, thank you

Once I finish prototyping I will be sending off the models to Suntory to make a validation set, once those are good he’ll product them and sell them.

Installation will take 10 minutes per side once you lift each rear corner up and you’ll only need a T30 bit.

As for widths — you guys can discuss and experiment with that — I’m not actually personally going to run 18” but I know quite a few of you want that option. Widths will depend on camber, offset etc but the Evora could fit quite a bit of tire back there I suspect the Emira is similar.

I’m just developing this for the community ❤️

Also if you’re going really wide in the rear like 12” — you’re probably better off getting 19” — have a feeling tire selection will be considerably better.
