Hi,
I’ve been getting this a lot recently - have all updates to feb24 - seems to happen when someone opens a door
Is anyone else having same issue ?
My found cure is press unlock on key fob which seems to reset it 🤷🏾‍♂️
Putting key in tray recess doesn’t seem to help but unlock/unlock or unlock/lock/unlock does work reliably from the fob

Low battery in the fob? Ive had that happen in a few cars. I've also had it happen when I've left the fob in the car on a brisk night too.

Defo Not the battery already had that replaced

If you have the key not in car error, try putting the key fob in the rear in the center console storage area (recommended by manual) or in the bottom of the rear most couple holder (recommended by dealer).

Yeah that’s the tray recess I mentioned it doesn’t seem to do anything
I think it’s some module not loading or glitching more than the actual signal from the key
But that’s just my thoughts

Hi - my daily key was becoming less responsive and often produced the "key not in car" message. Just had first service after 12m's ownership and 6k miles. Dealer changed battery last week since which, I have had no repeat problems.

2nd key appears to work 👍
Thanks for the advice sometimes the easiest options staring at you and you don’t realise
