Introducing the QUADloc for Lotus Emira V6 & Turbo

Notice that the harness bar is angled down. If you were to crash, the harness pulls forward on it, making it want to rotate down and forward. Those delrin pegs will get in the way of the rotation by pushing down and forward on the window housing - which makes me wonder, what's behind the plastic? I'm the sort of person to go look in there before putting in this harness bar. The baby seat latches are strong enough to support a seat in a collision, though, so I'm sure they'll work fine.

... speaking of, why do we have a baby seat anchor behind the driver seat? :)

And also possibly crack the window?

The factory rool hoop is behind the plastic trim. This is what gave me the confidence to use the Delrin Cam Lock rods as our Primary antirotation device. See below:

Ambidexterous chassis is the reason for the child seat anchors.

No reason to crack your window, But that would be the least of your issues if you crashed the car hard enough to rotate the bar.
There was enough clearance between the delrin rod and the glass to eliminate any worries about cracking the window during normal use, even a hard tug on the harness bar during extreme braking.
