This was an unusual one and would be interested if anyone else has had something similar.
Backing out of the garage this morning and the Infotainment screen suddenly went black - on close inspection the screen image was still there and it appears that the backlight had turned off - adjusting the brightness had no impact - the driver binical was fine.
Having driven in sunlight for ~30 mins, with it blacked out, as soon as I entered the underground carpark at the office, and the car realised it was in a lowlight environment the screen came back on. (There was an audible click or a relay and it was back, so backlight light is not dead). Will need to check again in the light tomorrow (checked on the car and the infotainment was still functional this evening).
Ironically I had just put it in for the post run-in service without any issues (and before someone raises it, apparently no software updates took place)
