Help with coilover install

Does anyone know the part numbers for the top bolts that connect the OEM strut to the mount? Where I can order them from, besides going to the dealer to order?

I've ordered the Darkworks front mounts to save some additional weight and also so I don't have to disassemble the stock struts to reuse the top bolt. This way once the Nitrons come in, I can mount them straight to the DW mounts for an even quicker install.

Hard to see really but it looks like part 74 (nut) and part 76 (bolt).

Good luck trying to remove the whole front damper assembly with the top mount still attached though. I'd be impressed if you could do that, I'll send you a beer if you're capable of doing it on video 😅 you'd have to remove the balljoint to the control arm and maybe it'll work.

Looks like you're correct. I'll order them up. I knew you'd come through my man! And why you gotta dampen my mood with keeping it all assembled when removing. How about we cross that bridge when we get to it, huh. Will make for better content when I'm cursing for 20 mins on video.

Thanks again @kitkat

the 4 bolts that mount the strut bracket right? Part #75?

Going on week 9 now from Nitron for my R1s (ordered them back in mid-June). Supposedly they're still waiting on a part to come in around 8/31 before they can ship out.

Is anyone else waiting these long wait times from Nitron?

Just being patient, but this has gone against everything I stand for, which is not loaning out money to companies and floating them while they take their time to produce whatever...since they already have your money. Nitron should be better than that. They're not a small mom & pop. Get it together in today's amazon economy.

Its not so much the waiting. It is the sliding delivery date that really bothered me. After 5 delivery date changes i had enough.

I hear they are great shocks though.

Since June 4th. They were supposed to be delivered early in August...

Right. Pick a date and deliver to your customer. It's not difficult planning and communicating. I'm sure they're great shocks, but accessories are wants, not needs for me and I flip cars and motorcycles like people change underwear. So by the time I have to wait for something, I've probably already moved on or lost interest.

Where did you order them? Mine came incredibly fast. Literally less than a week. Maybe they just had a set amount in stock?

GRP. Not Greg's fault though. He's been responsive every time I emailed him on status. I ordered on June 17th. Last update is that Nitron is waiting for some missing parts which are supposed to have come in today, 8/31. Not just mine are being held up but many folks who ordered them for their Emira right around that June timeframe.

Hopefully they can assemble everyone's coils asap, but with precision, and ship them out this week. So all in all, it's been 10 weeks since order, as of this week.

The biggest annoyance to me is that I'm an impulse buyer. If I want something, I just go get it. Because if I wait more than a couple days to think about it, that urge goes away completely and I just move on.

I'm not sure this helps you much.., but LDC had a factory visit to Nitron, a couple of months ago. It was very impressive and we visited the section that builds everyone's suspension. Nearly all sets of suspension are custom built to order - the only ones that aren't are a few "off-the-shelf" sets given to distributors abroad. The workers we met there seemed to be a pretty dedicated group and I suspect they would be just as frustrated as you that they can't get your order out to you on time.

you know you can pick them up in Temecula right? I ordered mine from GRP and picked them up at Nitron facility in Temecula. They were also waiting on some parts and actually finished the coilovers as I waited.

I'm sure. But I already paid for shipping and Temecula is still a little over a couple hours away from me. The pickup or shipping part isn't the issue. It's the sliding timeline and the backordered parts that's holding them up.

Yep! I can relate to this statement, unfortunately. Few "mods" are needed, so most are fairly impulsive for me. It's my toxic trait haha
