For those of you who have installed the GRP short shift kit, what setting did you decide on?

My Specs:
Emira V6
Would like to get it right the first time without future adjustments.

Looking for an adjustment and shortening compared to stock, but not a crazy amount. I don’t need it super short. I just want it to feel better than it does now.

Curious as to what most people choose and why.

I left mine as delivered (and like it) -- which I imagine most have as well.
I read that as delivered is the “long throw” setting, which may just mean it’s long compared to the other settings, but still shorter than stock. Until you said something I assumed it was equivalent to stock.

It is noticeably shorter than stock correct?

Yes, as delivered GRP is noticeably shorter throw than stock.

I use the shortest possible settings.

It is very tight and short, to the point where you need to be focused to put it back in Neutral, you will find yourself at the beginning playing from 1st to 2nd back and forth before you can find the middle point. After a while you get used to it though.
I drive it on the road and on track and it is just how I like it. Hope this helped.

I played around with shortest, longest and middle. I chose the middle. The shortest is very short. It's fun and you can shift very quickly, but its takes focus to make sure you're in gear, etc. The longest is still noticeably shorter than stock so a good option, if you don't want it too short. I find the middle a nice in-between, where I can get some more speed, but I have enough travel or throw to know clearly what gear I'm in. The emira shifter is notchy and has a characteristic clunk when you get it in gear, I think the middle retains that while the shortest setting eliminates that.

Thanks. And just to confirm, the default setting is the longest, correct?

I did the longest position and Im happy with it. I wasn’t really looking for a short throw through. I was hoping to reduce some of the forward and aft play by moving from the rubber bushing to the metal one. It didn’t seem to change the play much though.

Make sure you adjust the nut to keep neutral in the middle. I adjusted it too far on the first go and it moved the neutral position back.
