Extended warranty for UK Emira owners from Oakmere Motor Group (Lotus Cheshire)

I’m seriously considering the self insure route - my car goes out of warranty end of Jan and has final service with Silverstone in a couple of weeks. I’ll put a bit aside each month to cover a big bill later down the line and take the risk based on what I’m seeing here. The warranty is just too much if it goes unused - I can stomach a bill if I know it’s going towards something, not so much if it’s speculative and never materialises.
I was too - I usually stay well away from warranties as in the past there's always been some exclusion that meant they didn't pay out (on a boiler, a laptop PC and washing machine) or at least didn't do the repairs.
But after seeing how much simple parts do cost for the Emira I am considering it now; my replacement EMU was £1,700, similar cost for the engine wiring loom and 2 days labour. Worth noting that the Jon Seal Warranty has noted the cost of parts and upped the maximum single claim cost to £7000 (others are £5000).

I'm thinking the same as it seems the items that may go wrong are not included.
