My Specs:
Emira V6
I've put together some notes about the extended warranties available for the Emira from various posts on this forum and from my reading of the terms and conditions of each. If I've got anything wrong let me know and I'll update this.

Lotus
Cost:
£1199 - 1 year
£2259 - 2 years
Repairs at a Lotus approved shop.
Lotus Assist can be added for an extra £100 a year
Can be transferred to a new owner

No limit to number of claims.
No single claim limit - but combined claims cannot be more than value of the car.
Modified cars covered but only where modification has not contributed to the issue.
Europe covered for 60 days.
Any track use of the car will invalidate warranty.

Provided by Car Care Plan

Terms and conditions can be provided by most Lotus dealers or are listed here.

Oakmere
Cost:
£985 - 1 year
£2,535 - 3 years (£845pa)
Covers main dealer rates to £140.
Can be transferred to a new owner

No limit to number of claims.
Single claim limit - £5,000
No details of European cover???
Any timed or race use of the car will invalidate warranty - probably including track days???
Modified cars are not covered unless agreed before the warranty starts.

Provided by AutoProtect

Terms and conditions can be provided by Oakmere or are listed here.

Jon Seal Sportscars
Cost:
£999 - for main dealer rates, 1 year
£899 - for independent dealer rates, 1 year
Additional years cost an extra £849
Can be transferred to a new owner

No limit to number of claims.
Single claim limit - £7,000 (underwriting warranty to £5,000 and Jon Seal Sportscars will cover the remainder up to £7,000)
Lightly modified cars are covered (like cat delete, valve controller or replacement springs).
Europe covered for 30 days.
Track use is covered.

Provided by V6 Performance Warranties, underwritten by WSG

None of the warranties cover paint or bodywork.
None of the warranties cover interior trim, seats etc.
All warranties require that you service your car at the correct intervals and have proof of this.
All warranties exclude certain items, such as wiring, airbags, lights, batteries, fluids etc. to a certain extent, too many details to list here, so check each policy for the details.
All warranties come with some kind of breakdown cover to recover the car to a nearby garage and provide a courtesy car to some extent. But none of the warranties really provide adequate cover that they could replace dedicated breakdown cover and travel insurance - again check each policy for details.

I've just spoken to Jon at Jon Seal Sportscars.

He has confirmed the max claim limit is £7,000.

The underwriting company will cover up to £5,000 and Jon Seal Sportscars will cover the remainder up to £7,000.

Has anyone delved into the fine print to see if the exclusions are exactly the same between them?

If one for example included water ingress into electronics (known issue) then that would make it more attractive. Usually official warranties are better for this sort of thing.

If all of them exclude all the common issues, then you're unlikely to benefit at all from any of them.

Did he mention anything about possibly including the headlights yet? I know it was up for discussion

Yes, there are quite a few differences between the warranties and far too many to post here. I did try and post the most important differences in the original post. But you really need to read the small print of the warranties.
All exclude wiring so water ingress in the electronics is likely excluded.

He didn't say - although I didn't ask. It was something he mentioned the previous time I spoke to him and he was chasing the warranty company about it - but no new news since then.
He did mention that he's got a lot of Emiras on his warranty now though and they have a "fund" to cover most things now. But so far there's not been any significant claims. /touch wood

Its all sounding rather positive

I have just received this yesterday from lotus customer care, ( this was agreed probably around 2 years ago, chased it up yesterday because my 3 year warranty expired and I wanted to know if I had breakdown cover)they extended my warranty by one year because of the faults and failures I’ve had with my car, which is now perfect ( hope I haven’t jinxed myself), it was a goodwill gesture from lotus after I complained nicely I also got a free service, my car is a 2023 April v6 auto, I’ve had the steering pump changed and the HVAC unit and wiring harness with fuse board replaced plus software faults, the car was at the dealership for quite a few weeks but its now a pleasure to own and drive, I find that if you go on forums about cars (any car)all you see are problems, when cars are running great people tend to stay off the forums

If the attached file won’t open let me know and I’ll try some other way, it’s a 28 page document on what lotus will cover under warranty

Lotus Australia just released extended warranty. However I am not sure if it's worth when considering everything that's excluded
A lot of the same things are excluded by out UK warranties including the Lotus one. But your Aussie warranty also excludes brakes, suspension and exhaust - so that is a bit weird, I wonder why? It does still cover engine and gearbox though - both of which could cost up to £10K.

My biggest concern is anything electrical tbh so sucks that is excluded.

Gearbox and engine, they will probably deny the claim due to intake, 3rd cat delete, short shifter, non OEM MTF etc
