It looks like we have enough interest to put together a group buy, but we need to organize which versions people want. I propose that the OP's version for @Stevie1464 be called Version 1. My version which is the Gold #1 version let's call Version 2. If anybody wants something else like Oliver B., let me know what you want and I'll put together the graphic for it.

Actually imo all badges would look better without the chrome frame since there’s none in the car’s trim anyway.

The metal edges help protect the center from damage. Traditionally the center graphic elements were ceramic, glass or something along those lines, and metal wires or edges held everything in place and protected it. This is the old cloisonné style. The advanced plastics and materials they have now, especially with 3D printing may not need this anymore, but they'd need an anti-UV coating of some kind to prevent fading. I've always liked badges and enameled pins, but I guess not everybody does.

Yes, I can definitely see the need and usefulness of the frame as you say, but I guess it could still be in a satin or gloss black finish to match the background of the badge. Unlike many other brands Lotus does not pay much attention to detail in many things like keeping consistency in “look & feel” of the components they use. One such case is on interior knobs and switches. As for the badges, coincidentally, the dash badge is framed in a satin black, a sportier look that I happen to like more than stainless or chrome found on all the other badges. On my Emira not even badge colors are consistent i.e. steering wheel vs front and center wheels caps. I guess it’s a tutti fruitti thing,

Yeah the diagonal red stripes vary depending on which side from the center they're on.

Yeah it seems like different teams are responsible for different areas of the car. The interior badges can be plastic, but the outer ones have to hold up to weather, washes, sun exposure, etc. At the time they thought this was their last ICE car. They had no idea how things were going to change.

I was initially under the impression that the group buy was for those who wanted only the version (unmodified) that you designed, so I went ahead and sent a DM to @675430VME to ask him to order only the 2 external badges with my specifications which are like yours, being elongated with a black background and letters including the (1) in silver, but no flag and with a black satin or gloss frame. He said he'll work on a mockup for me but, if my customized version as such can be added to this group buy, I'm all for it. Thanks

I think the group buy is for one order, and everyone can choose what kind of graphic they want. I'm willing to create the artwork for free for anyone's idea if they can show me what they want. Otherwise, it looks like @675430VME is also doing artwork for people as well as putting all this together for us. Kudos to @675430VME for this!
