Emira Fiend
Someone needs to make a new diffuser to replace the OEM one with improved venting for the exhaust, valve and engine and preferably with longer diffuser blades for aesthetics. Oh and make it lighter (cause why not)!……….

I asked Jubu a few questions about this kit, and here's what they replied with.Has anyone tried this from JUBU?

I asked Jubu a few questions about this kit, and here's what they replied with.
The bumper must be removed, and cutting is required. The kit includes printed instructions and cable extensions for the license plate lighting and the exhaust valve. Also included are aluminum air fins for better airflow to the exhaust area. They said shipping of five or more items to one American recipient is the cheapest option.
Agreed, now I need to justify four more of their parts and a shop to help me install them all!I emailed about many of the same topics, this seems like a very well thought out kit.
The main problem lies with the V1 controller from Milltek and its wiring being too close to radiant heat (no matter which muffler you you have)I am advising everyone who doesn’t want any limp mode issues to ONLY get a wrapped stainless steel exhaust with valve controller relocation kit from Boomgear through Aerie performance or use Mach 5 performance which may have copied boomgears. PERIOD!!!
I had to modify mine because I already got the titanium exhaust. It saddens me that the vendors know by now that this creates too much heat on most cars and don’t tell anyone.
The reason I didn't know what button did what was because the Milltek went badon the way home, even before I got the CT carbon diffuser, with the titanium exhaust. Yeah, I drive it like I stole it!!!The main problem lies with the V1 controller from Milltek and its wiring being too close to radiant heat (no matter which muffler you you have)
If you plan to track/hard canyon drive your car the V2 controller is the way to go. (If anyone does have an issue with the V1 milltek is taking care of it free of charge)
Your problem was also exacerbated by having a CT rear diffuser panel which blocks off the air flow to the valve motor area and thus increases the heat.
Many guys are tracking their cars with our Ti and other Ti exhaust and havent had any issues,. Throwing out a blanket statement that they are bad because you had an issue isnt really fair is it? Are you sure you didnt have your valve force closed causing excessive heat build up? (I suggest this because you had inquired at one point not knowing what button does what etc) You're the only person I have seen have a valve motor literally melt down so something has to be different in this case.
Regardless of it all some heat mitigation for that area above the diffuser and/or locking the valve open and relocating the valve motor would solve it all 100% no matter what exhaust you have.
If you don’t think I have customers best interests at heart you are mistaken. The reason I didn't know what button did what was because the Milltek went badon the way home, even before I got the CT carbon diffuser, with the titanium exhaust. Yeah, I drive it like I stole it!!!
Milltek and vendors should only be selling Version 2 or letting people know Vesrion 1 has it's drawbacks. Vendors selling CT carbon diffusers should let there customers know there may become an issue with the valve controller overheating due to lack of venting. Vendors, in my opinion, should also let customers know, Hey, are you going for looks and light weight or are you tracking because then you should get stainless steel exhaust. I already saved one customer to decide if putting on the CT carbon diffuser he bought, is in his best interest based on his driving style at the shop.
I started this thread because I don't want anyone to go through this same situation, I mean he HELL I went through. Multiple track days were ruined and it cost me over $3000 and 8 hours to fix it.
2 full days at Watkins Glen and no overheating or limp mode issues. The wrapped stainless steel exhaust with the relocation kit is the ONLY way to go if you want to track hard! Otherwise, you have to have a shop do the custom work they did for me.
You are a supporting vendor and should have our best interests at heart. Do you ask and give this advice based on how a customer plans to use their Emira?
Will Boomgear or JUBU allow you to sell their products? Who else makes track oriented parts that are designed this well?

I give honest feedback and try my best to steer people in the right direction on mods for their cars but at the end of the day I can only educate people so much and I only know so much about each particular situation for each individuals car. I only have so much bandwidth to offer but do my best here.
Having a solid shop to install, diag and setup a car for the shop is a must as well when you don’t do any work on your own car.
Does the diffuser need removing, or can it be cut in-situ??? I' really should just have a look at mineI heard Ryan is going to make that too but it requires owner cutting the diffuser. Removing the diffuser is quite time consuming.
We need vertical exhaust à la 600lt / 918 but stacked longitudinally instead of horizontally (bc our v6 is transverse and the headers plumbing that way) @BoomGEAR @Aerie @GRP @shinooI see a "trunk cancel kit" and "active ventilation" becoming a thing...
Dude, just to be fair, a lot of ppl track their cars and don’t have your situation pop up.The reason I didn't know what button did what was because the Milltek went badon the way home, even before I got the CT carbon diffuser, with the titanium exhaust. Yeah, I drive it like I stole it!!!

Map torch prob best betWhen we say cutting the diffuser, what are we talking here. Scissors? lol. Obviously a cutting tool but... DIY, autoshop, bodyshop? What's the best way to get this done, done right, and done for cheap?
When is this expected to be ready?I heard Ryan is going to make that too but it requires owner cutting the diffuser. Removing the diffuser is quite time consuming.
I'm gonna email JUBU about a potential group buy on the ventilation kit since I need one myself and I'm also considering the clutch kit they have. I'll ask about:if one isn't made domestically, I am down for a group buy from Jubu. I would like it for trunk temps alone
I doubt it, i suspect that's backlash in the final driveIf anyone buys their clutch kit, I’d be interested in some feedback on its performance. Does it reduce/stop the horrible mechanical noise between 1 and 2K revs?
