Advice to everyone who lives in hot area or tracks and want to modify your exhaust

If anyone buys their clutch kit, I’d be interested in some feedback on its performance. Does it reduce/stop the horrible mechanical noise between 1 and 2K revs?
I think some of this has been isolated to part of shifter mechanism vibrating. Someone may have a partial DIY solution.

Let me see if I can fix

I doubt it, i suspect that's backlash in the final drive
Yeh, thanks. For me there’s two major issues with the manual gearbox, backlash and 1-2K noise. I think you’re right that the backlash is in the final drive. The noise, I’m not so sure. I wondered if it’s clutch related and JUBU doe a clutch upgrade.

For me the gearbox is by far the worst part of the car, so if it can be fixed with the JUBU kit then I’m in!

Agreed, I think it's from a diesel Toyota. and as such, never intended to turn @ 7+k.
It seems to me, it works fine when operating at what would be usual speed for the diesel, but as soon as you wanna go a little more spirited (upper rpm's) the syncro just doesn't like it wants to, or cannot, bring those gears to (a synchronized) speed in time. It also feels like the components within are very weighty, as in they have a lot of inertia, and don't like you moving them quickly.
I'm far from a Porsche fan (actually loath em) but the feel of a 718 shift is other worldly compared to Emira.

As far as the noise goes, I think the low rpm power pulses agitate that backlash at that low rpm, and the noise you hear is just that.

Ho Hum.
