Hm. 2027 order books are already open, and there are no hardware changes to the Emira.

For at least two years, Lotus has stated that there will be a facelift for the Emira in mid-2027. This was long before the hybrid was announced.

Plenty of people in the "Lotus world" have already seen the facelift concept, which includes a Targa-style roof, ie, a removable panel, but not many significant changes beyond that. You heard it here first.

My nightmare conundrum. I’m afraid a targa would be enough to tip the scales against ADAS, but I wouldn’t be happy/would be happy (a Hobson’s choice of sorts).

There's no targa. But there is a sunroof, at least in the UK.

Wrong. As the website says, "Echoing the legendary Lotus Esprit, a removable roof is now available as an option." And you can see the latches in the photo below

It reminds me of the guy who kept claiming that the v6 is ending next year two years ago. It's all rumor until Lotus makes an announcement.

That’s not a targa top. That’s a moonroof / sunroof.

To be a targa the frame has to be removed so it’s completely open.

The website stated it’s a removable roof. Looks to me to be more akin to the removable roof on a Bronco from what I am seeing.

might be a Removable sunroof .... on almost all my cars with sunroofs, when the glass retracts it's above the roof, and you don't see the retracted panel.

We had some pretty serious arguments on here about that. I'm happy to have been proven correct, though I could have done without the conflict.
