I wanted a wireless charger in the Emira, did not really like any of the Chargers, that clipped to the vents or put the phone in the way in the relatively small Emira cockpit. My iPhone 14 is a little thick with the protective case on it, so I decided against the option of putting it in the little slot in front of the gearshift. On the Emira V6 Automatic the area underneath the center console has plenty of space for the phone. I purchased a wireless charger from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D3LCHL91?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1, and using double sided tape and Velcro, mounted the round wireless charger on top of a hockey puck that is also stuck to the rubber mat at the bottom of the storage area with double sticky tape. The connection for the charger is right there in the storage compartment, out of the way, easy to hook up to. The solution has worked out really nice, and can be easily removed with no damage or drilling to the car.

Easy/practical solution for i4 owners and a great helpful way to introduce yourself to the Forum. Welcome!

I think I know which iPhone mount you used ...

I would suggest an alternative for the mounting position ... works very well also with enough passenger knee room ...
Originally I looked for a similar position next to the central display, but didn't find any sticker that would perfectly fit the limited "attachment" area and disliked the "overlooking" bit

Best regards
Christian

I broke out the calipers and designed this little beauty in Fusion360. I intend to drop in a magsafe charger then wrap in alcantara. It drops right in perfectly, and allows me to route the cord under the tray in either direction - because I am not totally sure if I want to use the charging port below the shifter, or the one in the center arm box. Plan on using some velcro to keep it place while disconnecting the phone from the magnet.

I have exported in STL file format if anyone wants it..

Nicely done! I'm not sure how the forum works, can the STL file format be included in a post? Also, in my hook up, I used the front USB jack because it's power only, plugging it in the back USB jack (which is a smart jack) it tries to access the phone and can get into a debate on who is controlling Apple CarPlay.

Just tried - doesn't look like it.. it wont let me attach the file.. looks like media files are all recognized (jpg, png, mp3, mp4, pdf etc.), but not STL. Would you mind if I try and DM you the file?

I got one of the first ones he made - its great, but the i4 shifter gets in the way. I noticed that I kept dropping my phone down on the lower, so I am going to see if I can route the line out the front to the rest of the components Silent Cliantro sent me in the kit. That way I'll have 2 wireless charging locations.

I simply used a wireless charger I had laying around, and a 6 inch cable.
30 seconds, done.

I have the V6 manual. I made a magsafe charger, similar to this. I simply punched a 67mm hole through the rubber storage tray under the AC controls, so the magsafe charger sticks up from under the rubber, then ran the cable through the provided hole to the USB port below the center console.

I've been using wired iPhone and placing the phone in the cup holders. my only concern of the center console storage is anything from there flying into the drive side. The custom wireless charger that others go with makes sense but it's kind of annoying trying to slight your phone in that hole (and I always forget my phone is there when I do. I even did this in the supra when my phone was in the same location)

My little pedestal mount I made with the hockey puck, and the MagSafe magnetic charger, when my iPhone is on the charger (with the case that the phone has), which has a small lip around it and the metal for the magnet to connect to it is on the mount very firmly. I've never had any trouble with it coming off the mount no matter how hard I drive the car. I also found the little slot in the dash was kind of tight to put the phone in with the protective case on he phone and challenging to get the phone in and out without scratching something, or bumping one of the switches near by, I tend to use that little slot to keep my extra pair of glasses for driving. And, yes no matter where you put the phone, I catch myself often walking out of the car and forgetting it, having to go back to get it, the joys of getting older (:
