I got the three camera G900 Tripro on Amazon was $329. This was all due to me seeing some very nice and convincing OEM digital rearview mirrors in Asia in the Alphard vans. Very high framerate and surprisingly realistic field of view.

It seems there are a ton of similar products using the same panel and electronics...this one comes with an additional cabin camera but you can opt for a front bumper camera as well but that's more for trail runner vehicles. The main unit has a camera pointing out front and then you have to attach the rear camera somewhere. On our cars you have to place it outside not through the two layers of glass due to reflection issues. I placed mine next the the stock reverse camera.

Pros:
-Very wide field of view gives you 3,4,5 lanes of view that can go even past your side mirrors. It's very good for lane changing and knowing what's near your car.
-The main screen attaches via rubber straps to your stock mirror so you don't have to do any major surgery. The major surgery is routing the rear camera wire from the rear bumper through the firewall into the cabin.
-As seen in the photos in pitch black and dark conditions you actually get a very usable view of what's behind you that is very nice - yes it's super high gain and full of noise but the image is moving so it doesn't matter. If this is a use case you need this is a great solution.
-You get a three channel dashcam that records front rear and interior so you can detach the dashcam you already have.
-You are able to digitally move the image up and down (since the sensor is probably 16:9 and the mirror is skinny) as well as digitally zoom in to get a tighter field of view.

Cons:
-My main issue is that the rear camera lens is too wide for me to be useful as an actual rearview mirror. Yes you can punch into the image to get a closer approximate but you are digitally zooming and losing resolution. By the time you punch in to something even halfway to a normal field of view it's almost like a 240P image, about one quarter the resolution you would baseline expect. Very far off from the OEM screens I have seen on Lexus, Escalades, etc.
-It's listed as 60fps but it looks like 30fps, and there are some bad digital artifacts in high motion. And this is not a fault of the system, but since the camera is mounted on the rear bumper and that piece vibrates, you can see the image blur from vibration depending on the situation and road surface.

If the stock rear camera had a more narrow field of view and was tighter I think the system would be ideal, you wouldn't lose resolution zooming in. On Reddit many people complain about this, but others quickly argue that the wide angle is a "feature" as it's meant to be a dashcam too and for that you would need a wide angle lens.

I was driving today zoomed in about 3 clicks and the loss of resolution was so bad I couldn't make out the kinds of cars behind me...one of which was CHP and the only reason I knew to slow down was my V1 was going off from the blaring Ka band behind me. That's kind of a non-negotiable for me to be able to scan vehicles approaching from the rear, it might work at the native zoom resolution and a different camera but the one it comes with will not allow you fine detail perception.

I did manage to track down the OEM manufacturer of the Cadillac, Toyota, Lexus, Alphard systems and @docron and I are ordering from overseas to try that system out. @docron has done some extensive diagramming of the stock mirror stalk underneath the upper mirror assembly and the manufacturer is going to fabricate something that will work with our stock setup and replace our oem mirror. More to come

Example here:
Not even zoomed in that much but can you tell what kind of car is behind me? That car isn't that far actually, in a normal field of view you would know what it is:

Service truck? Police?

It was a white Camry lol

I thought these things could be used as a regular reflective mirror if you turn off the screen. I’m more interested in using these as security dash cams than a rear view mirror replacement.

This particular one isn't great for that purpose, there's too many reflections from my carbon engine cover and the two layers of glass...and the Wolfbox is tinted dark as it is. It's getting returned to Amazon lol
