For those of you that purchased Milltek's Active Valve Controller.
Was it worth it?
Was it easy to install?

OK....all good here.
More driving over the weekend and as GB and others have said....just leave it open all the time.
Thanks for your help. I'm happy with the tunes the exhaust now plays.
Install went well and, on reassemble, I only had a few parts in my tray that could not find a home :).
Thanks again.

The clip holds the diffuser end to the black glossy trim piece that runs the length of the bumper found between the bumper and diffuser. The boot/L shaped plastic item is a cap of the previously mentioned black glossy trim piece found on each end. Specifically, it goes right behind your rear tire. Look under there and you should see one side is covered and the other one is not (because you have it in the pic). I only know because mine fell off as well. I crazy glued it back on.

As far as the washer, good luck they are all over the place on diffuser and under tray.

when in standard track mode is it open 100%? So if changing the exhaust but keeping the valve stock would be the same as adding the Milltek controller?

at idle, I see it slightly open in sport and track mode compared to touring but not open all the way. No idea at different rpms. I would assume it automatically opens up to 100% at higher rpms

Has anyone done the third cart delete and just left the standard Lotus connection to open or close the valve, i.e closed at lower revs in tour then always open in sport? Seems a simpler method to me so maybe I'm missing something?

The exhaust valve is not always open in Sport.
It opens progressively in all modes, just more and sooner in Sport and Track.
But it only opens fully at higher revs and wider throttle openings.
That’s advantage of the controller.
You can have the full exhaust experience at sensible speeds and don’t have to be driving hard to hear the benefit.

For anyone worried about passing an MOT with the 3rd cat delete, don’t be.

This was mine today:

As clean as an electric car somehow.

Anyone not have a “closed” mode on theirs? Not a big deal since I wouldn’t really use it, but I don’t hear the valve moving between options 2 and 3 on mine.

There should be no difference between 2 and 3 when the car is warmed up and stationary if that’s how you’re testing for the valve movement sound. When idle and warmed up past the increased revs for startup catalytic warmup, the valve is fully “closed” in both OEM and closed mode so the valve actuation itself doesn’t need to do anything. You should be able to tell a difference between the modes while driving over 3-5k rpm.
