VF Tuner for the Lotus Emira

Do you believe that the IPS auto in the V6 can be TCU tuned so that it somewhat competes with the AMG DCT? With the new pricing, I am considering picking up in stock models and considering AMG over my initial V6 Auto order.
If you want my honest answer, no. The DCT is newer tech, better tech, and will perform better.

IF I had to get an auto Emira I would get the AMG. There are many readily available modifications for that engine.
 
Update on Lotus Emira Tuning
- We have finished reverse engineering the stock ECU.

We will post images of the stock tables later today

For future clarity can you mention to which variant you are talking about when posting
Agree, I also wish we had a flag/tag we could add to our profiles that made it obvious what variant we each have. For now, we should all try to remember to be more explicit about what engine we are referring to whenever we speak on anything that is engine specific.
 
Currently we are working on the V6 version first, so all information right now is for the V6.

All in all the calibration on the Emira is about 95% the same as the Evora GT.

Regarding Rev limits -
Pretty standard stuff, just like the Evora.
With the exception being that on the Emira the rev limits are *lower* than the Evora for certain temperatures.

There is also an additional - Limp mode restricted power rev limit which isn't on the Evora.

Regarding Ignition. The Emira looks to run slightly *less* ignition than that of the Evora GT. Similar to the Evora, the Emira has both MT and AT version tables with code switches within the same calibration.

Interestingly, regarding VVT has been retuned. The Emiras intake VVT targets much more advance throughout the power demand range, and a little better advance targets in high RPM than the Evora.




more to discuss soon, and any questions you guys may have please let us know. The calibration is basically a "updated" Evora GT tune, with some parts better, some parts worse, and several more restrictions than the Evora has.
 
Great update and looking forward to seeing more progress. Have you been able to write to the ECU successfully?

Also, do you see if the exhaust valve has a table of it's own?

I mean they are posting in the 3.5L engine forum so I assume all news would be for that but yea it’s not easily seen which sub forum you’re in when you come from the home page
 
This is pretty cool, I’m always curious how people hack hardware encryption but i know it’s trade secret so no hope in y’all revealing the secrets.

There are many ways to do it.
on the Emira ECU, there are NBD/JTAG pins, however the PCB must be reversed to find them.

so we killed 2 birds with 1 stone by deballing the chip, putting it on our Dev board, and now we can reverse all pins on the PCB
