Thank you everyone! Happy to have a warm reception from the community.
Sorry, nothing for the i4 right now. But we have an idea to test on it. Problem is....we can't get our hands on a ECU!.
Couldn't get an emira one either...had to buy an Emira. (not complaining, it's lovely).
Yes.. the rev limit is a let down. Not sure if you guys follow our facebook or what we post in some lotus groups but our tune for the Evora completely fixes the "brick wall" rev limit. You can bounce on the limiter as much as you want.
The stock lower rev limit in the emira will also be fixed by tuning.
While we don't have exact pricing right now but it will be end-user affordable. I am sure some of our pro tuners will also be making their own tunes for this platform too, so it will really expand the amount of tuners who will have access.
I'd like to share my experiences so far with the Emira so far. Where I feel the Emira can really benefit from some tuning..and some personal opinions.
These are just my thoughts, and I'd love to hear from you guys what you think about the car too.
Tuning - The Bad, our thoughts:
The Emira absolutely has been power neutered compared to the last model Evora GT. Acceleration in higher gears feels slow, Instant supercharger response just doesn't feel the same. unlike the Evora, The Emira only feels great in the first 3 gears.
The lower rev limit
It runs much richer than the Evora. (in boost)
and a few other areas that can definitely be enhanced
Tuning - The Good, our thoughts:
Throttle response is generally snappy and rev match downshifting is so much easier than the Evora.
The car itself:
The Good
It's absolutely beautiful. Stunning looking. Side by side next to the Evora the Evora looks like a dated, old,...lesser car. The look just gets better the longer you look at it.
Interior comforts are light years ahead of the Evora. Way better, modern interior overall.
Sport mode sound. Incredible.
It "feels" LIGHTER than the Evora.
The Bad
The seat feels like it sits too high, is way too "plush" and also is too short? Top of the seat comes to my neck.
Clutch is the softest clutch I have ever experienced.
Steering is way, way too soft.
The steering wheel. Wow. Ugly. and 9 and 3 position just has zero hand comfort.
The dash. I personally do not like digital dashes that do not have round tachos
Build quality. A little shocked. We grabbed a 2025 V6 6MT, and inside and out great. However... the dealer we went to have probably 10 evoras, multiple First Editions. I inspected a few first editions and the paint quality was the worst I have ever seen on a production vehicle ever. For 100K I should not be able to see primer / under coats. But I saw it everywhere on small trims, door handle areas, door jams, the hood edges, etc.
These are just my thoughts about the car so far. Overall it is great, and I believe with some tuning and different seats this thing could be the ultimate little track car.
