So, this journal starts with my brief 'origin story', after my best buddy (since elementary school) bought a manual transmission, Porsche GT4 four years ago. I drove it for a few hundred street miles, and thrashed it at the track one day, after he invited me to drive it like I owned it. As a motorcycle rider and former racer with many track miles under my knee sliders, I actually had relatively low expectations. Um, yeah, it was really fun and challenging in a new and different way. I knew then that I would commit to buying a sports (P) car in the near future. Not long after, the Emira was announced, and my thoughts slowly migrated back to British heritage (past Jaguar manual transmission owner). Back and forth during the past year or two I finally completed an Emira purchase at the end of Sept.
