I tried searching the forum for this but couldn’t find an answer. When I first tried the Emira, track mode would give me pops and bangs, which is something that made me fall in love with the car. Now that I reached 1600km, I only slightly tried track mode for 1 minute, and sport mode for 5 minutes. None of them gave me pops and bangs. Is it normal? I have the warning light on the dashboard, don’t known if that might have something to do with it. Thanks!

The warning light stops the pop and bangs. When I was getting the warning light from the new downpipe the pop and bangs stopped. I fitted 'eBay special' O2 sensor spacers, and now I don't get any codes and the pops and bangs are back.

So whatever the issue is that makes that warning light on, that would stop the pops and bangs? Do you know the reason why?

I am guessing that everyone is thinking the engine warning light is putting your car in reduced power mode to protect itself - hence you are not getting the pops and bangs.

In that case I’d expect the owner’s manual to mention a power limit, but it just says something about avoiding driving and taking the car to a shop as soon as possible if I’m not mistaken. Interesting. Also, shouldn’t the car explicitly warn you in case of a power limit? Thanks for your feedback guys.

Mine pops and bangs consistently in track and milder in sport mode, as the others said your warning light may be making the Emira limit itself until it's sorted out. Hope you get them back once you fix it.

What code were you getting with the downpipe? I went with a 200cell down pipe with fabspeed “minicat” and I’m getting a cel from time to time.
