Hi. Love the car and want to keep it long-term.

But it would be great if the seats (height) could be lowered a bit. I’m 186cm and on track days when I wear a helmet it’s on the limit.

Could I build some rails perhaps that would make the seats sit a bit lower? Something like two fingers would do the job. Any experience on this or from where to start?

PS. I would not like to change the seats.

Only way to lower them would involve losing the power motors and functionality underneath.

I’m looking to do the same… 2 or so inches lower would be perfect. Tillet carbon bucket seats will do the trick apparently and look to be a high quality product at a very reasonable price. I’m just waiting for the passenger airbag sensor plugin to be added then I’m definitely in. Other than that you might have to fabricate something yourself.

100 lbs weight reduction for the pair is a nice bonus too.

Like greg mentioned there’s no space even with lower custom rails, tons of electronics and motors under there.

Replacement seats are the only real option.

I have just fitted the JUBU plugs in my UK car and they work perfectly even for the passenger seat. We have just bought some in so we can sell them with the seats. The B10 XL will drop the head 100 mm should you need it to.

Has someone tried the JUBU ones in a US spec car? Because GRP's didn't work in the UK for the passenger side either but as soon as I put these in there was no problem. They also connect up the seat belt warning light so that all works too.

Steve, if there's any way you can work with Greg at GRP to test, that would be great. I know he has a few customers that bought the seats despite the error light(s) for the passenger side that he can likely work with. If you and Greg can solve for this, it'll be like solving world peace with a side order of economic boom for the both of you. I personally know of 4 different people on the sidelines waiting for this fix, myself included. Once we hear it works, orders will be a "flow'n".

A couple others have used ours on the passenger side of the euro car and its worked, maybe it was something else holding things up in your car?
Those plugs are the same as ours afaik and will not work in the US spec cars passenger side.
We have an customer who is an electrical engineer wiz working on it (in his spare time). It is requiring a specially programmed controller etc.
