Removing the hazard button

Not sure where to put this, but I want to remove the hazard button from the console. Anyone have any idea how to do this, specifically?

Reason: I want to paint the red lines in the button yellow to match the rest of my accents. Found some one to do it but he asked that I remove the button to make his life easier.

You can pop off that panel its on. The hazard just attaches from the underside. Check this thread and the early disassembly for the boot removal.
